judge foils i saw were 200 bucks on ebay/tcgplayer
also I'm pretty sure we won't return to Lorwyn. I think i remember MaRo saying it didn't do well in market research. It's also unlikely they'll reprint it outside of a supplemental product since they dont' print tribal supertype cards anymore

I welcome our Fae overloads back, esp. now that Jund got nerfed we can really see a huge boost on Pod, dredge and Burn decks.

Well fuck me...just lost my post to a random bit of computer stupidity. Ah well, nothing much to say except that PR was fun for the most part and I'm glad we were able to go despite ice hitting the other night. Oh, and while looking at shirt designs tonight
I found Raida a girlfriend:

Faeries won't be a good deck BECAUSE of
Bitterblossom, it was already a perfectly good deck before. UB and UR faeries made up a fair part of the Modern metagame here, they were basically 35 removal spells, 4
Wydwen, the Biting Gale, and lands. It lost to Storm G1 but beat everything else pretty easily. Regardless, the deck doesn't even really want to play Bitterblossom, it would rather just play something practically unkillable like Wydwen.
Bitterblossom plays a little better in a deck that revolves
around hitting someone with swords and playing a shitload of removal. I expect to see
Sword of War and Peace and
Sword of Feast and Famine make a bigger impact now.

I didn't watch the super bowl, but I knew that Seattle won. I think it was the moment that everyone on my street started to set off fireworks and honk their cars.
I think I might try to speculating on Wild Nacatl. I can probably pick them up for $0.25 or less and then maybe sell them when they go back to $1.00 ~ $1.50 again. It's not obscene money, but it'll help.

No it wasn't a perfectly good deck, Wydwen is not a thing and the only time Faeries was ever good in Modern was in mono blue form at the formats onset.
Nothing you ever say about Magic makes sense or is true. You should be careful, budg kids see long posts and immediately think that the person talking knows what they're talking about. It's how Zem got so popular on MTGSalvation. Very misleading.

Posting a record =/= posting results

Cardboard subterfuge, I won't stand for it. Philip Seymour Hoffman is dead, for Christ's sake. We could at least honor his dying wish and pretend we know wtf we're talking about.

"They call him 'the Fairy'..."
"Why do they call him 'the Fairy'?"
"Because he's a fairy."
"What, he's got wings, he can fly, he sprinkles magic dust all over the place?"
"He's a homosexual!"

It's Monday, so today's the day I log in and see how many pages behind I am from over the weekend. This week's magic number is 5. I am assuming hot topics have included the pre-release and the super bowl.

Tempo - Play an early threat and then control the game to keep your opponent on the back foot. It was extra annoying because most of the answers the deck used were also threats in their own right.

Super bowl? You mean the Seahawks game?
Manning tried to throw in the towel, but they intercepted it.

The deck ran the Faerie core (Spellstutter Sprite, Scion of Oona, Vendilion Clique, Mistbind Clique) with Thoughtseize, Bitterblossom, and Cryptic Command. Add Mutavault, some more permission and removal and that's the deck. It's pure control with brutal tempo advantages. almost everything is done on your opponents turn and you bite at their life total until they die. Modern versions now have access to Batterskull and Wurmcoil Engine as misers anti-aggro win-cons.
The thing about Mistbind Clique is that it's really overpowered when Bitterblossom is legal. Not only does Champion not target, but if you have multiple Faeries out then its impossible to fizzle,
especially since enchantments are already hard to remove.
