I always err on the side of land light vs. land heavy for the simple reason that Screw>flood.

When you're mana flooded, you have to draw a lot of consecutive cards to get out of it, assuming you aren't playing something like sphinx's revelation in standard or a broodmate dragon equivalent in limited.

When you're screwed, you have all the gas, you just need one or two more pieces to be able to use all of it.

Granted, in something like thero's limited, flood is probably better.

For people wondering, I'm Lauphiette on Modo.

I tend to lean towards flood > screw. I equally despise both but I find myself preferring to have lands to be able to play answers or threats instead of having them sit in my hand while I sit there unable to use them.

Just play and try to win all 20 games with your new player points and get as many M14 packs as you can. Why the hell not?

Won the first match playing some m14 sealed. Get beaten by bears game one with a hand full of gas. Game 2, boarded into UG with 3 counter spells. HOW DOES IT TASTE?

Also, I saw Nuwen's website design on facebook... It's fucking sick! Why the fuck aren't we using that? Her FoS logo is amazing too.

Definitely topdecked howl of the nightpack for the win. 16 hasty power. Why not.

Yay pack of m14 and miscellaneous commons and uncommons.

Actually have a hard pool this time. Do I go white for double pacify/serra angel and the better curve, or black for the doom blade, 2 liturgy of blood, and the tutor for all of my bombs?

Not to dredge up the old debate, but this failed to post while people were making fun of France and it was amusing.

Oh gawd, there's so many tempting play around me's in black and white in M14 but those colors are such a trap for me. Sealed I guess you don't have much choice.

Turn 4 Thune unbeatable. Didn't draw any black removal, didn't hit the plains for pacifism till the turn I died.

Mutavault only goes higher. I'm not seeing myself back in MODO any soon. So maybe I should unload my cards.

Well, I've put together a 57 cards (+15 of sideboard) paper Kiki-Pod and began testing with 3 proxies.
Liked the deck.
Decided to buy the remaining three cards as soon as I got my monthly check - and that happened yesterday.
Nice trend you've got there, Noble Hierarch.

Just play Burn in Standard it will cost ya less then 70 (but I assume you already have most the cards) and it has taken many strong placings in DE, SE and MOCS.

I enjoyd this article:

Partcularly:

Legacy is expensive.

Legacy is powerful.

Legacy is dominated by Blue decks.

Legacy is stale.

Reminds me of the verse from Corinthians people spam at every wedding ever.

Third Sealed event: Spend almost the entire time which deck to build between blue, black and red since Black has bogbrew combo and nightmare, 1 minute left on the clock, go with junk hexproof. GET THERE BITCHES!!!!

Blue is a nonsense in m14. It has card advantage (divination, opportunity) , big creatures (air servant, water servant), removal (claustrophobia). Besides that i think that in sealed is ok to go with the old black/white monoremoval.

Do we have any judges? Had a bit of a situation at FNM and I want to know if it was handled correctly.

My opponent had a Japanese Shadowborn Demon that I can't read (I'm in Japan, most of the cards are Japanese and I just have them memorized. My problem, not his).

My opponent "forgets" his trigger (At the beginning of your upkeep, if there are fewer than six creature cards in your graveyard, sacrifice a creature.) for three turns, and I don't remember it / can't read it.

This allows him to chump otherwise lethal attacks and then cast a second demon (this time in English). I read the card and at this point a judge is called.

What should happen?

Don't forget Disperse, Time Ebb, and Essence Scatter

Blue is too good in M14

You both get a warning for missed triggers and the last (and only the last) missed trigger is put on the stack immediately.
