Like, to specifically offend someone or just to say it in general?

Because context matters.

People are stupid. One time I had to explain that there was no way to make a 5' x 6' sign out of a 4' x 8' sheet of aluminum panel.

You can't make a 30sq.ft. rectangle out of a 32sq.ft one?

Dude. Do some science. Make that shit happen.

I can, but if you pay me $1000 and I give you something taped together out of scrap then you'll want your money back.

Also, personally, if I give you $1000 and you give me the nicest 5' x 6' aluminum sign ever made - the fucking Mona Lisa of aluminum signs - I'm probably still going to want that money back.

we were watching a Basketball game and one of them was like "What a crazy N****" They all agreed, and then it devolved about people saying it and they wanted me to say it since i don't, which in any context i feel that it isn't nessesary to use regardless.

Necessary? Is it necessary for me to drink my own urine?
No!
But I do it anyway - cause it's sterile and I like the taste.

So I'm contemplating a 2 year assignment to this plant here in Korea. Could be pretty awesome.

You've been to Korea a bunch right? Think you would enjoy such an extended stay? Not leaving too much behind (or is that a good thing)?

I've been here twice now. I like the culture, the country, and the work. More than that, this is a hugely lucrative opportunity.

As this would be a 2 year assignment, my wife and kid would come with me. My kid is only 10 months old, so this is really the only time I can do something like this. We'd be living in a customer provided apartment, so essentially rent free. My wife wouldn't have to work; she'd get to see the kid all the time like she wants to. I might be able to negotiate a promotion into the deal. There would be a 15% bonus site pay for those two years. The work itself is fantastic experience and
looks great on a resume. I'd practically be able to write myself an offer for whatever job I wanted when I got home.

Downside? I'd miss some of the family I have back home (could still easily travel to see them on holidays). It's possible my wife would go stir crazy.

Downside: chance that Kim Jong throws a random temper tantrum and blows you up.

I think living abroad was very good for me, but it's different for everyone. I wouldn't do it if I was married.
