I bought a new router/modem combo today. Made sure it was the right one (DSL) hooked it all up correctly and...it couldn't find the internet D:

The cords all seem to be okay. I really don't get it.

I've opened most of my box and so far, 1 scry land, prophetic flamespeaker, 2 gods, a mana confluence, and some jank. I plan on buying a bunch of prophetic flamespeakers. We're putting our money on it being the next master of waves.
What sort of time frame are you talking about? Do you think they'll spike during the PT, M15, or post rotation?

I see it as another Boros reckoner/master of waves situation where if the card has any sort of breakout performance at the pro tour in the coming weeks, we can see a ridiculous price spike up to 30 dollars or so if the card does well.

There has just been a lack of activity from the clan in general which started with Redthirst, Khaos, and Zem lowered their activity a bit because of various things which in turn caused others to lower their posting activities in this thread.
you can post even when your leaders are away (or are you not allowed to?)

I've come up with some elaborate yet plausible gimmick names to use when I pretend to be an angsty 20-something male MTG player who has severe issues in dealing with women. Which one do you gents find to be the most "FOS realistic"?

I was referring to activity in posting in this thread. Most of the members, myself included, have or are actively posting elsewhere. Mind you that I primarily lurk and only post when I find something of interest.

Isn't there another way to write them? Other than 5-7-5, I mean? I swear I learned that somewhere. That, or I'm making stuff up again.

There are similar types of poems to haikus, but the only different way of writing a haiku that I know of is to use mora instead of syllables (one mora being more like a single sound rather than a full "beat", meaning that a single syllable often is made up of multiple morae).

I'm going over to my girl's friend's place tomorrow afternoon to BBQ, and her husband asked if I'd bring some Magic cards so we can play a few games. Rather than building a bunch of terrible tier 3 brews with the paper cards I still own, I printed up a bunch of proxy Modern decks so we can pretend to be powerful wizards.

I left out Pod and Storm because they're difficult to play for newbies, but I figure that Zoo and Affinity are approachable, and I have Twin in there for yolos. Seems better than jamming a bunch of games with the terrible Koth vs. Venser duel decks.

When people ask me to teach them how to play, I just take 20 lands and a bunch of commons of a certain color and jam them together and put them in one of those 30-card starter
pack boxes. They work well enough, and it's kind of like playing Shandalar all over again.

The dude and his brother know how to play, so I wanted something a little more advanced without going too crazy. I think they can handle fetch lands, but combo Elves seems overly complex. Plus, budgcaj

The best part about that game was like...before you even had a mono colored deck and you had duals for colors you didn't even have in your deck.

God that game was awesome.

I don't play that shit. People who take Commander super seriously are the worst kinds of people. "Oh you play that, go away!" Yeah, I could do that. Or you could stop being an obnoxious, socially awkward twat. The kid with Asperger's is telling you to stop being a social reject. Take it to heart.

Also my Azami deck is really bad. I just like mono blue and she's better than most of the other blue generals. :D

I love that phrase because it implies MTG players don't 'rule' anywhere else in their lives.
