Once upon a time, my dad was stationed at a military camp (as a dental health official) and he bought a six-pack of our local beer, Gallo. This gringo was there, and had himself a six-pack of Budweiser, so in his two-three Spanish words, and my dad's two-three English words, they exchanged one can of beer. After tasting it, the gringo asked to trade the whole six-pack.

Yea, Budweiser is terrible, but I think I've heard that they might have a different formula in other countries? I'm not a huge beer fan but MN has some of the best microbrews in the country so a lot of my friends are beer enthusiasts.

They are actually building the new Surly Brewing Co. Factory a few blocks from my apartment and try will begin distributing nationally. I read that they're including an outdoor patio for concerts and stuff so that should be fun.

Baseline is I think I'd grow out of drinking Buds real fast if I drank one every day, so I guess its a matter of keeping the beer sampling infrequent enough.

What exactly about it makes it good in your opinion? Obv I think it sucks more or less, but it's kind of fascinating to me how tastes can vary like that internationally when in the US the microbrewery is everywhere in every region so every place has new and interesting things (that are usually bad but still interesting).
Also what's the beer variety like in Portugal? For whatever reason I couldn't find the level of variety I expected while in Vienna and I assumed every place I went to would have at least a dozen if not a hundred beers on tap.
