Another view. I wanted red wings but these were the only fruit rollups I could find without tongue tattoos!

Jerry, you and your daughter are very talented. That doesn't look paleo, but it's red so... net positive!

@Alex - For banners I like the fonts at dafont.com and fontspace.com. As far as images, I just google and switch the view to "Images". The full art of cards usually shows up as a 600px-wide image from the mother ship. For anything older that I can't find that way, I look to see if the artist has a web presence. Beyond that it gets tricky.

Thanks ham! Definitely not on the primal plan...there's enough powdered sugar in all that fondant and icing to put the whole clan in sugar-induced comas. You would be astounded at the sheer weight; the cake is well over 10 pounds.

So yesterday was interesting. I was kind of depressed because I found out one of my former Staff Sergeants and his crew died because there plane got shot down. Big bummer obviously, so I decided to go out and hang around a larger then normal crowd of people. It was entertaining for a while to everyone starts getting stupid. Long story short, you had some Nigerian Blacks arguing with some American blacks about some ethnicity crap. I wasn't paying attention, but it sounded real ignorant. Then latter one of the motherfuckers try to pick a fight with me. I just ignored him.

After that, the day was fine. 2.50$ for a big ass burrito, some beer, played pool, some more beer; overall a good night. On the way home I even randomly got a ride from a professional driver in an Escalade. The catch was after he dropped me off, he asked if he could suck my dick which I politely refused because hey, can't blame him. My dick changes lives.

I think interesting is a totally accurate word to describe those circumstances. Sorry to hear about your crew man.

I hope I'm not the fattest one here at 6' 250. I really need to get serious about getting my ass in shape. Need to go paleo starting next week and kick it into high gear when I work out.

Thanks! Two different ones, actually; the sheet cake is done in a white chocolate fondant that included a bag of white chips and corn syrup; it has a great rolled texture, but that corn syrup makes for STIFF fondant after it
sits. NOT fun to work color into after-the-fact. The red is a basic marshmallow fondant recipe of just marshmallows, water, powdered sugar and some vanilla & almond extracts. Much easier to work with, and I colored it at the melted marshmallow stage which was much, much easier.

The sheet cake is white chocolate, and the dragon is sour cream strawberry.

How tall are you zem? 148 can't be much more than bones and organs.

Also, I like the new smiley...
177cm or 5'10".
Yay! We're "heightbuddies"... :)

I'm usually around 160 myself.
How do you do it? I feel like I'm perilously thin around 160

Thanks for trying though.

Ah, the white chips recipe sounds interesting. I only recently stopped buying fondant pre-made because I realized how astronomically expensive it is to do so. Good thing I don't bake often.

Ah, I went 3-2 tonight with KDW. Just barely losses, though. Jund and Mono-Black Control of all things. The former sided in Slaughter Games for my Hellriders while the latter had Contaminated Ground on two of my Mountains game three and I couldn't cast Hellrider at all. Getting better with the deck, though. Shall not be long before I start wrecking people. :3

Uhhh...Internet?

Nah, both cooking and baking run in my family on both sides. I understand the chemistry as well, which helps it fit in my head. As to the artistry side of it, I've always had a decent hand with clay and working with fondant translates to basically the same thing.

I'm only partly joking about the 'net, though; the fact that recipes on the more popular sites get lots of feedback helps to pick and choose and increase my chances of success with something new. And in this case, we tried a couple of test recipes before deciding what to use in the cake.

@kaze - I will PM you the fondant recipes I used sometime tomorrow. We had a number of people tonight comment on not being big
fondant fans but liking these recipes; the white chocolate one in particular tastes like chocolate taffy.

We got to spectate a bit at FNM tonight; of interest, on of the guys there who likes playing big control decks has been dominating the past few weeks with a Grixis build with Niv Mizzet at the top. If I can get the list from him I'll post it. Bant Flash was also rearing up, and Selesnya aggro and tokens as well.

Man i want to get good at drafting. I did RtR block draft at FNM tonight and scrubbed out pretty hard. I hate being bad at things so of course now i want to get good at drafting. That and it seems like being good at draft will make you good at magic in general.

It helps I suppose...I am not a strong drafter at all and it doesn't hurt me in constructed - the most important thing is just playing more and thinking more; experience is the best teacher, and if you can be critically self reflective, even better.

Top 4'd with prime speaker bant. Got my two boxes. One Voice and no Ral's. Fuckin bullshit. Oh well hopefully the rest of the crap I need for bant delver gets here this week so I can bring it to FNM next week.

I will never understand when people claim that drafting helps you improve your game.

It teaches you to evaluate cards? Specifically for a draft environment only.

It teaches you to use your cards efficiently and to play around stuff? Well playing more constructed teaches you to play around stuff that actually matter.

Also doesn't help that I cube draft regularly. When you have to choose between drafting library of alexandria or baneslayer angel, drafting boosters become much less
interesting. :)
