Overall, I think the Boss sligh deck is one of the more degenerate things in standard and it steamrolls all the top deck
What is a "metagame"?
Metagaming -
Metagaming is any strategy, action or method used in a game which transcends a prescribed ruleset, uses external factors to affect the game, or goes beyond the supposed limits or environment set by the game. Another definition refers to the game universe outside of the game itself.

The highest level of strategy in many complex games, metagame refers to any aspect of strategy that
involves thinking about what your opponent is thinking you are thinking.

Metagame comes into play in any game where no single strategy is dominant and opposing sides are aware of multiple strategies that can succeed dependent upon opponents' actions. In order to perform at the highest level, it then becomes necessary to think about what your opponent thinks you will do (which may depend on what he thinks you think he thinks he will do, etc.) and to make decisions based on clues regarding what level they are thinking on.

This term is most commonly used to refer to poker and other complex card games, but is increasingly being used in relation to video games with complicated player vs player elements and even traditional sports.

Ex-
"Normally I would raise the flop with this hand as a semi-bluff, but I've been so aggressive lately that taking metagame into consideration I think he will go all-in with any pair, so instead I'm going to fold."
Ex-
"This guy thinks that I'm going to
zergling rush which means he will waste resources defending early. Instead I am going to focus on resource development for mid game, and metagame will win me this match. "

"Meta" is short for metagame. You've been using the term correctly.
Damn man I'm sorry, you wrote all that: Poe's Law I guess
I meant in a "JEOPARDY" sense.
Like:"I'll take "THE WORLD AS IT SHOULD BE" for $1200 ALEX"

I've had my facebook account deactivated for a few weeks, thoroughly enjoyed it actually. It makes me hate my friends when I see the stupid shit they post.

I was at a wedding and missed Columbus. Unfortunately the next two invitationals are in NJ and WA, so I might not even attend those.

I didn't actually play in the Invitational, but a lot of the local guys went so I ended up playing side events all weekend. Also shadowed a little in prep for my L1 test.

Seinfield was fantastic.

In other news, after my enjoyable experience with boss sligh, gonna try his modern infect deck.

Modern? I knew he played Infect in Legacy and was curious if he also had a Modern version. Have a link?

EDIT: google is hard.

I like the art. That's it.

Really, the only thing exciting me so far from this new set is the reprint of Shrapnel Blast and Foundry Street Denizen. Denizen remaining in the format for another year after rotation means that little Red aggro is going to be a possibility. And I like that.

I do also like the new additions for my Kaalia deck,
so there's that I guess.

I similarly was overly happy to see FSD reprinted.

Don't deny this. Don't make it weird. Just go with it.

Actually Foundry street denizen might be my favorite one drop ever. I play it in standard when i play boss sligh (i built it months ago before building r/w burn) , i play it in modern goblins (i steamroll a lot of tier 1 decks with it similarly to boss sligh in standard), i play it in pauper goblins. And most importantly he is a goblin XD I love goblin guide, goblin lackey and so on, but FSD is special ; i just need to find a way to play him in legacy. And i didn't mention i play him in krenko edh : making like 15 tokens and attacking with a 16/1 trampling first striking thanks to legion loyalist is orgasmic
