The team that made Lain made a more trippy anime with a better plot called Technolyze. Watch that instead.

Lain's plot moves at a glacial pace, half the scenes are recycled still shots of her neighborhood, and the final payoff in the storyline isn't anything you didn't already suspect by episode 2.

NFL dot com enter, oh shit the Packers are losing their "must win" game.
Remind me how you became a packers fan again?
As a foreigner you basically have to choose, some choose towns their family lives in (inb4 wetback jokes), others do like my wife's dad who used to like the Saints because he saw them win in New Orleans when he attended his first NFL game ever at a stadium.

I didn't have any of those, so when I first started watching football with that family I started looking at the teams, their histories, and I just loved how the Packers come from a small
town which basically sits 80% of its population at Lambeau Field and that they are owned by that very town. And once you start following a team it kinda grows into you, perhaps not the same as the locals, but hey it's not even a sport I can talk about with many people around here anyway.
That explains why people keep coming over for chicken nuggets

I'll take the job.
Mostly just want the Visa and something to do on weekdays.
You post on dtr? Cool? Honestly, I don't know who posts there and who doesn't.
I actually read that site quite a bit but its mostly because a lot of the people I used to interact with on MTGS are over there.

I'd leave it, and break my lease. But I won't have the money to move for 2 or 3 weeks so I'll have to telecommute.

Fraction's Thor was fantastic. He and JMS are the only Thor I'll read. I really miss Journey Into Mystery following Teenage Loki. I mean, seriously, does anyone care about Sif? Nope, that's what I thought.

RE: Deadpool - I was a huge fan a couple years ago, but now it's just ridiculous. The Deadpool: Merc With a Mouth 13(ish?) run was my favorite.

my quality deadpool compendium is this:
the first deadpool minis and ongoing
select early issues of way's run on the second solo ongoing
parts of cable deadpool where cable is still in the comic
deadpool kills the marvel universe
uncanny x-force as written by rick remendier

and if you read anything else it is probably not good, excluding one-shots during the first ongoing before "this
one-off quirky thing about the character is now the only thing he's going to do" shark jumping of modern deadpool.

i dropped off on JIM but it was pretty good fresh out of the gate. i've noticed a lot of books really fall in quality at marvel if they get interrupted by being tied into multi-title crossovers.

Uncanny X-Force was great. Cable/Deadpool had a lot of issues that were just bad.

Merc with a Mouth was actually done really well and I thought Danny Way started off strong and seemed to "get" the character, but I think there's only so much you can do with a character like Deadpool. I think that's why he was so good in X-Force, he's a character that fits better in a team book. DeadpoolMAX wasn't too bad either now that I think about it.

only so much you can do? joe kelly made a self-contained world, cast of characters, and mass of character development in the 97+ ongoing, they just had no idea what to do with t-ray when they finally revealed his backstory but then made a swift recovery with that weapon x tie-in and that tragedy they wrote with copycat and garrison kane

deadpool max is the very fringe of what i would consider quality deadpool writing. elseworlds style deadpool is usually pretty good because it's mostly removed from superheroing and you can just write him as an actual crazy person that someone gave a gun to

I should have worded that better. I meant they can't do much with the character as it's written now. If he was still written like Kelly wrote him, it would be a different story, but the character is just very stereotypical now.

The best thing they could do for the character is to make the book geared more towards adults.

the team book idea is pretty good since he's a meta character in those kinds of situations, it just sucks that a guy so ripe with potential got put through a meat grinder of memes and pie-throwing slapstick to become the trash he is today.

I'm more concerned with having fun.
If I wanted to win I would do a 1v1 and make everyone feel bad with Blind Seer.
