So much hate for my local players. Every last one backed out of going to regionals next weekend. Makes it a little hard to justify going.

Looking for something to watch. SCG is Legacy, no thanks. CFB is Team Sealed, pass. Shit formats.

I Google "MTG streams" and find some website that aggregates MTG streams. #1 on the list is SCG's stream with 6k viewers. Never realized how little viewers SCG actually gets. Decided to check out what other games get to compare. I notice two things:

1. Some Hearthstone streamer has 30k+ viewers currently. Just one stream. Lol, GG MTG.

2. Hearthstone looks absolutely terrible. It looks like an iPhone app game. Why is this so popular? I get that the MTGO client has bugs, but it at least looks better than this garbage:

During the really big tournaments, LoL would pull over 100k viewers. Starcraft tournaments frequently pull 50-60k and many popular WoW streamers pull 10-15k independently.

100k is pretty conservative when LCS pulls in well over 200k

Win draw loss loss at box tournament to a true FOS 1-2-1 record. Convinced my third round opponent to gimme' the win and we'd split and same with my fourth round opponent and ended up tied in first netting all of us 25 credit each instead of each of them 20 and me 0, lol.

Punted G2 of round 3 which let him have and win G3. Punted G3 of round 4.

What kind of deck did you end up making?

2-1, took first loss. I'm mardu with zergo and 3 anthems. 6-0 in games. Other decks are BGu delve with tasigur silumgar and other rares. Third deck is blue red splash green for sagu mauler with sarkahn. Our loss was solely due to mana issues.

Scrubbed. Lost to Holliday team because my partners punted by not listening to me. G3 round 8 we have four or five guys out. A flyer a manifest a morph and a heart piercer. They tap out play artarka, the 6-4 double strike Dragon. We have godamn sarkhan in hand to kill it and be way ahead, but team wants to whisk away for time walk. They decide to do that in combat on next turn which isn't horrible, but wild call was the card drawn for the turn so they got to manifest dragon with five counters and one shoted us a turn later for twenty something damage. I was initially pissed, but it's a team loss and I'm as much to blame for not arguing more in favor of my play.

Looks like I'm gonna be drinking and watching super bowl today.

I won my 5 round FNM and a 6 round (with a top 8 ) win-a-box tournament (with 39 people) yesterday. I'm officially out of the FoS.

Despite scrubbing out of the GP in the worst possible way, weekend was a blast. Had great food, amazing times with friends, and successfully hustled multiple team drafts in addition to learning a ton about the format and limited in general.

X-2 my PTQ of course, losing first round to a mirror match where my opponent gained 27 with anger of the gods + soulfire. Lost later to a crazy bant manifest deck.

Jeskai Tokens imo is still a great deck, but the mirror is pretty random. Going to continue to play it, as well as brew up rdw and rw decks.

Also, just gave my 2 days notice at my job, landed a bigger a better paying job with a competitor. Huge risk and potentially big career move, I am pretty excited.

You should try RW aggro. I've played Jeskai and RW and the latter is just a better deck.

I actually like RW, but I want more of danny goldsteins version. I don't have access to brimaz or SBD anymore, so I need to figure the work around.
