In retrospect Falconer and Injury was worth reconsidering, and there was a better card than the second Ancestor. I don't recall passing any RB lands, only one RW land in pack one when we weren't red.

Figured out why I always end up Mardu: as Jacob Wilson said, Full mardu's pretty weak pack 1, so if you force it, it's always open pack 2/3 and you end up with everything for the deck.

It helps that the Aven surveyors are always in the packs with the bomb rares so I feel no pain passing them.

You can theoretically be BWg I guess and a heavy UGx deck is fine to, but generally, you want to avoid green like the plague because of how aweful it is in FRF. Like, blacks not good either in fate, but you still have douse, angler, and harsh sustenance all at common which are collectively pretty great cards and typhoid rats is solid as well. Green has a bomb uncommon and a pile of embarrassing playables.

Whisperer is first pickable

Forgot about whisperer and sure, I agree. everything else is mid pack filler I think.

Only things putting me into green basically are sabertooth, whisperer, bomb rare, or ambush if I'm already blue. Hunt the weak for instance is a good magic card, but I'm taking almost any comparably powerful common from the other colors over it. Having said that, hunt the weak on the play having your morph eat there's is close to a blowout.

Longshot Squad is 22nd card filler and you have 3, the blue is really a stretch there. Relying solely on Archfiend to steal a game imo

7 i think, you have a nice curve, a couple bombs rares+bomb uncommon temur sabertooth, and if you get white mana double abzan guide. I just dislike playing 3 longshot squad, i think you can cut one and play either awaken the bear or an embodiment of spring (i'd prefer the latter because it's another early drop that can block or accelerate your mana)

Maybe 7 is too much, i'd say 6,5 because you lack real removal and rely almost exclusively on bouncing opposing threats

Well, i can see not liking this deck that much,, but it definitely is decent , the only weak cards are the squads and they are not terrible so ranking it 3 out of 10 is a bit harsh at least

I rate the deck 1/4 of a Siege Rhino.

Maybe we use a different metric ? to me 6 out of 10 is the definition of sufficient, while 3 is basically the worst of the worst, even at school i almost never saw anyone get a 3. i would rank a deck 3 if i see something like 2 goblinslides in a 16 creatures deck
