Why do you think rez is scummy? Opinion on him is very polarized, I'd like to see what you see for perspective.

Hi, I exist.

Time for me to skim through the last couple of pages.

Wow, are my early game reads that bad?

I kind of like RedNihilist's 499 - he's actually analyzing the wagon, with a healthy dose of townie indignation. -As much as I hated most of his Day 1 behavior as a whole, I'm accepting that he won't be the lynch today - which puts me back at the rcwraspy, Lord_McDonalds, Captain Murphy, Jack pile of lurkers.

I guess I could be up for an rcwraspy lynch? -He hasn't done anything remarkable since #158, where I labeled him as a light town read.

Alright, I see Dechs and I don't want him to be lynched today.

That probably means that most of the scum are in the lurkers. -I have varying levels of townreads on everyone else.

by Cursed_Pride
Yeah, upon second reread #158 is not that strong at all.

-I want to revisit Lord_McDonalds on Day 2, but I'm not that interested in lynching him at the moment. I like this:
Ultimately the town is literally dicking off and we need to pick a lynch, and discuss our actions based on the flips, the less coordinated we are the easier it is for scum
I'm just worried about clearing too many people by indignation.

-I'm literally happy to vote either one of Jack, rcwraspy, or Captain Murphy. Captain Murphy has promised content repeatedly and failed to deliver.

Since I see he's the largest wagon:

Rescind Vote (Unvote)
Lynch Vote rcwraspy

Tempted to redirect a wagon over at Captain Murphy, though. -That's historically been a strong scumtell.

@LMD, I am trying to play better and the lets plan the votes thing was scummy according to past games I played. You are right that town in dicking around. Seems like you could claim anything, talk a lot, and speculate to get out of a lynch. WTH? I don't want a no lynch as there would be no votes to track. I am sticking with Red as my target cause moving the newest wagon while ignoring Red's scum tell seems a disservice to town.
Whatever made you think I was implying that?

If you weren't confirmed town, I'd think this was scummy. Probably just an honest mistake though. The most votes are currently on LMD.

Mostly for things he did early game, like his misrep of jack.

And making a mistake on knowing who is the top lynch is scummy, how, exactly?

-Not willing to lynch Lord_McD at the moment, if you read my post.

Like I said, if it's a mistake, fine. Just looked like intentionally distorting the truth. You said rcw had the largest wagon when that belonged to LMD

The bolded part is me saying that I am frustrated. Folks are
getting voted without any real opinion as to why? I never saw why you or RCW were voted in the first place beyond Cursed_Prides lurk call. Jack wants a wagon with no opinion of his own. I thought voting with no opinion and asking for a wagon without an original thought was a scum tell? Jeeez, there are a ton of scum tells this game that go ignored. To properly answer your question, I don't want to lynch players based on "lets vote X player cause he has not done anything remarkable?" :confused2:

Here is a remarkable list.
Rez- he votes Ham and later says he should have described the evidence better?
Jack- the question on the mail, asking for a wagon without an reason why of his own.
Red- asking for a claim way to early, hyper increased activity to votes
LMD (have to show all evidence)- intent to set up later day votes
(So doing the remarkable clears one self of any doubt? Are you people
stupid?)

CM- I separate him cause he is the biggest lurker, but he could be having a bad week?

These are my best hits on the radar. Lurking is a general hit as well, but the biggest lurkers have been ignored by many. I don't get the rational of players the game. CM is the biggest lurker followed by Jack. How does a super lurk get a pass to push a wagon? WTF! I don't a want a "no lynch" as that would yield no help for town, but I also don't to follow bandwagon votes without any REAL evidence. Players who are asking questions are not getting answered (Rez to LMD, InflateablePie to RCW), and this frustrates me.
Another issue that is pissing me off are folks calling me crazy to get out of votes from others. From past games experience that is now my biggest scum tell. How do I respond to this? What does this say to the rest of you reading that players accusations instead of explaining themselves without snipes? Just really disappointed in town this game.

C_M's super low activity actually protects him, especially at this point in the day. Yes, low activity is scummy, but even if we got 7 votes on him, we'd gain nothing from doing so (unless he flipped scum).

Why RCW over Jack? Jack has asked for a wagon without a reason. He seems the stronger scum read to me. If it's because RCW has yet to answer questions from InflateablePie; then I can understand that. Why worry about being scummy on voting CM when you are confirmed town from the Mod? Why would you care?

So who's actually scum, Wraith?
The folks who are not answering questions are a good start. LMD or RCW for that issue, but the lack of a significant scum read makes me wonder if scum is pushing the vote.

Since many are convinced that Red is not a vote; the next best scum reads are you (Jack) and LMD. Both of you have pinged my radar as I stated earlier in past posts. I think you are the stronger vote there as LMD's wagon began with Cused_Pride's questionable choice of lurker. LMD's push for future days votes is bad, but he explained himself fairly decent (no "your crazy talk").

My third best pick for scum was Rez. His point on Red with the email was spot on, thus my scum read on him is getting weaker. The third is a mystery for
now. So I need to think outside the box for now. I am concerned that InflateablePie asking Red to vote with him without asking Red for a read on RCW first. Also thought InflatablePie's read for RCW was confusing. My read on InflateablePie is null for now as his questions were solid and need answering. The concern I have is that he protecting Red for scum reasons.

Red is still my strongest scum read, and I want to be stubborn on that. I will vote Jack; after that LMD for known scum tells.

Given the fact, I am fairly certain he has IRL issues, it's prolly best we just pretend he doesn't exist until he posts/replaced/modkilled

Okay dude, this normally doesn't bother me, but why do you agree with me that we need to get something done, but then say it is scummy for me to do so?

Planning out future votes isn't scummy (actually, I more said we should begin analyzing what we should be doing day 2 iirc) , if it is, you need to start explaining why it is and that might get something done.

In fact, all this sounds like is that I'm your strongest scum read and you don't want to commit to voting me.

and if there is evidence beyond "well he lurks and he doesn't answer Rezombads bizarre questions", start showing it, SHOW DON'T TELL

If you had just left that part out with setting up future votes; it would not raised flags with me. The mitigating factor is that we are indeed not close to a vote and you are not with the "mob" of voters choosing players without a rational. I asked ol'Rez to post his questions for us to reveiw and he has yet to post his questions for us. So I will try to dig it up with quotes.
Generally don't like how antagonizing he's been from the start, that and he tried to answer my question/demonstrate it was 'stupid' which doesn't sit well with me,
less that he didn't like it, more that if felt like he was trying to draw attention away from nihilist.

I may be reading too much into it though (likely am)
What question?
Red throws out the claim question.
I'll claim when I get home but I'm now operating on the pretense that half the people on my wagon have no reason for voting me
Rez pokes again
Neither of those posts are an answer to my question, LMD.
You Return fire...
Explain why it took you so long to actually vote me despite thinking I'm scum since page 1
Rez goes on the attack.
Explain why it took you so long to actually vote me despite thinking I'm scum since page 1
explain why this isn't an answer to the question I asked you and also why this is not a claim.
Things degenerate to where the are now. Here are 2 posts that caught my eye in relation.
Imopen is ridiculous and probbscum
I like lmd for scum, and have since the
first page (yeah Obama!)
Jack needs to respond to me
Pie is doing pie things.
Ham is probably fine for now.

Pedit:jack respond to things
After LMD is prodded, Rez votes LMD, and LMD responds with this.

Why weren't you voting me prior to this post then?
So Rez is asking what question you asked Iamopen2? I can't find the question you asked Iamopen2. Can you post a copy of it as I have provided examples
of posts please. If others know where it is or I have the Question(s) wrong please inform me. This does not look good for either of you (Rez and LMD) as I am perplexed who has the right of way or initiative. What do other players think of this?

Jack's request for a vote on you is a huge scum tell for me. Do you think Jack is scum for that request without a reason of his own? Would you vote him for it?

EBWOP: I missed the fact that you've said you're willing to vote Jack - maybe because you're not actually voting him.
Let's try to do things instead of stating we will, that would keep things more clear for the votecounts, wouldn't it?

Scum tactics 101: Sit on a failed wagon or try to derail the main wagon.

I'm not talking about LMD here. I'm talking about people like imopen2, rcw, C_M, and hell, even Wraith. You guys want to help the town? Get on the wagon.

LMD, I don't blame you for trying to derail the wagon. I mean, you are the wagon. Why wouldn't you want to derail the wagon?

Then again, what do I know? I'm the total newbie here.

I still don't get how a mis-lynch is better than a no-lynch. If someone could give me the short version, I'd be quite thankful.

No lynch (barring some weird set up) never plays towards your win condition, which is ultimately to lunch scum, furthermore, it means the one death is completely mafia controlled giving us nothing to go on

Yeah, but when you lynch the wrong dude, you're playing towards the scum's win condition.

And I'd think that the night kill gives you just as much to go on as a mis-lynch. Just look at who the dead guy was most suspicious of.

Allow me to ramble

Would scum kill the person that showed the most suspicion toward them or would they kill someone who was vocal against someone who is town?

Posted: Mon May 12, 2014 3:04 pm
by Dechs Kaison
I think they can't do either if it's obvious.

Example: You're a really vocal probably townie. If LMD is really scum, we get a no-lynch, but then you get night killed... it makes LMD look really really suspicious. If LMD is really scum, it's almost a bad play to night kill you. Following that logic, if you get night killed, it essentially vindicates LMD, because scum should never do something so obvious. Also, because of your relentless scum hunting, you're a prime target for a doctor if we have one.

They'd do better to kill someone like me if you're on the right track because I've been heavily influenced by your cases.

Am I even remotely going the right direction here?

I feel like I could go in circles forever.

If scum kills Rez and he's on LMD's case really hard, then it makes LMD look like scum. So scum wouldn't actually do that if LMD were scum, so that makes LMD look like town. But they'd know we'd be thinking that, so that makes LMD look like scum. But they'd know we might think that far ahead...
