When is your event, MDU?

Post your pool here when you get it and if I'm around I'll put in my 2 cents
Same time as you guys, after you win your Prelims.

2 satyr's versus some sweet red stuff

Also, lulz. I think everyone here is talking about Z's Standard burn deck, but I'm bitching about the Modern version as I battle with my own brew.

I like UG but I don't know what half those cards do  the bident, and 2 tempo spells sold me

i think ug curves better but has some weaker cards

ur might stagnate with 3 drops

i have them both saved to switch around between games, submitted ug currently

UR

You have slightly more creatures in UG and a better early game but I like your creatures better in the UR, you get the anger as a wrath, and you don't have all that great of a top end for the satyrs to accel into

How many rounds is the prelim? 5?

Posted: Fri Feb 28, 2014 12:40 am

6

5-1 or 6-0 qualifies you for finals

my opponent had a nasty bw heroic deck, i just had great satyr draws.

Posted: Fri Feb 28, 2014 12:50 am
by imopen2
Yea the more I look at it the UG is pretty solid. I feel like maybe the fate foretold should be nylea's presence so you could activate the spider and more consistently have UU and GG but that also isn't that important in the deck and you have a few heroic triggers that would suffer a little. So fate is prob the right call

Posted: Fri Feb 28, 2014 12:53 am
by Kaitscralt
you may be right. fate foretold was the last card added and i didn't like making the choice. nylea's presence was a cut.

I think if I had found the hexproof deck earlier I would have gotten there cause I was durdling with maze's end for a long time

Posted: Fri Feb 28, 2014 1:56 am
by Kaitscralt
fuck i hate losing game 3's, why can't anyone 2-0 me

Posted: Fri Feb 28, 2014 1:58 am
by Kaitscralt
i got greedy in game 2 vs gosu and instead of passing for eot sudden storm +voyage's end into bident on my turn, i cast divination hoping for 7th land + pass and eot sudden storm into bident + voyage's end on my turn. i didn't get the land and had to pass to try and set it up again the next turn, it ended up that the window closed and i was backpeddling from there. died to a dauntless onslaught as the last card in his hand for lethal before things got crazy for me.

Posted: Fri Feb 28, 2014 2:00 am
by Kaitscralt
if i hold the divination that one turn to set up the bident i probably win

but... the greed

You never go full divination

Posted: Fri Feb 28, 2014 3:29 am

I mean 3-1 is pretty solid. you're prob better off staying the deck you know.

how close was that round?

Posted: Fri Feb 28, 2014 3:37 am
by Kaitscralt
2-0'd the 4th round pretty handily
