Firedrinker Satyr though, now that's a nice little benefit.

The fact that he costs four might make him playable

madcap skills + frontline medic effects on your attacking creatures seems pretty good

I like him, awesome synergy with Precinct Captain and Brimaz, will make W/r even more playable.

I see two static abilities and a potential seven power for four mana. Prevents more than just combat damage too (opposing Reckoner, burn), and can fight through an Elspeth with pseudo-unblockability.

Good card.

This card is OP.

It's also cool to note that his abilities also apply to himself (unlike Nylea's trample for example)

Card's good, and Reckoner still kicks ass on defense.

"Defense"? What is this?

The best I can think of is a battalion theme being more playable now, but it becomes a bit more midrange-y rather than agro. Firemane angel playable now??!?!? Tajic? Makes battalion more relevant because you're not throwing away cards to trigger it.

Sometimes a red bro has to block stuff. Rare, but variance :sherlock:

I think of him as pyreheart wolf with "haste". He lends you to setting up an aggressive board and when your green and blue opponents try to set up a board, you drop this guy and wreck there math.

Vs. Control, if you're playing hammer of purphoros, you just need a boros reckoner to build a 7 power beater.

you guys know you need to have 5 other red/white pips for him to do half the stuff you're describing...right? it's hard for me to see it happening.

his static abilities certainly could make him worth the slot, but I don't see it in this meta. maybe other things will be spoiled that make him better.

Interestingly, I think this guy exemplifies the sociological law of proportional response. The thinking goes something like:
1. This guy essentially makes blocks for your opponent so unfavorable that they cannot block.
2. Your opponent will therefore be more inclined to run creatures that simply cannot block on their own, or are difficult to block with (Rakdos Cackler, Desecration Demon).
3. Due to their limited utility, these creatures have a tendency to be more efficient in attacking (in and of themselves).
4. As such, the player who doesn't run this guy will have a better attack plan than those players who run this guy.

GOT HIM

Red and white devotion are pretty easy to accumulate. The prevent damage effect and ability to be a 7 power indestructible creature are better bonuses than Gruul War Chant.
I don't really like the card because it's boring in a way I don't like, but it does a lot of things other RW 4-drops don't, which makes it an immediate contender for constructed play since even War Chant saw any play outside of limited.

He fits right into a W/R weenie deck, might make it viable again

What Tyrael said... terrible in Rw while kinda awesome in Wr. I am pretty sure we'll see Craig Wescoe making a run for it with this guy.

this guy makes me wish I still had innastrade block w/r humans. turn 1 champion, turn 2 BTE+LM, turn 3 frontline medic, turn 4 this guy....that's legit shame shame missed it by a block =[

I would prefer Brimaz as a three-drop over the medic 95% of the time tbh.

The real issue here is our meta today. Esper and and Mono Black are going to give any R/W deck a run for its money. I always preferred the black splash because having access to thoughtseize and duress is HUGE.
