So, I just got back from FNM and I wore my FoS shirt. Out of my five opponents, three of them recognized the shirt immediately, and claimed they regularly lurk. They didn't believe me when I said that I was me, so if you play at Be There Games in Indian Trail...yep, I'm me.

Also for the guy who was asking me if Zemanjaski really lives in the end of a wind tunnel, here's your chance to ask him.

tl;dr: Doc, these shirts might be something we could put some actual money into in the near future. I mean, I knew we had a decent non-vocal audience, but I didn't realize it was that large. And I think I turned a few people onto D2R in the process of the evening, so it was a really big win/win.

Met a fan several weeks ago. He was playing z's PyroRed list.

The shirts are an excellent way to get noticed.

Nice. I like the part where the word "ALEX" in big red letters didn't tip them off that you're Alex.

Wind tunnel, WTF?

I'm actually in the process of determining how much money would be involved in actually putting money in shirts. Per unit, obviously, the more shirts we order the cheaper they are. That's not the hard part. It's split
shipping them all to each of you individually that becomes a logistical nightmare. Also expensive as fuck. I plan on trolling the sales team until I find the one who will cut me the most slack on a deal, but the time between Thanksgivng and Christmas is a weird time for us. It may not be until after New Years until I can pin someone down.

I'd say I hope I lived up to the expectation, but truth be told I suck just as much in real life as I do here, so probably not.

It's funny because they were like "Wait which one are you?" And I was like "...well, I'm Alex." The guy actually looked me dead in the eye and was like "No I mean in FoS?" Humbling moment, but then once I clarified he was like "OH I thought you meant your actual name was Alex, I didn't know anyone used their real names there!"

About the wind tunnel joke, go watch one of James' streams on Twitch. His mic is fucking awful.

I'm not sure why you would ever compare the two. Storyline dynamics aren't the same. It would be like comparing Gundam Wing to Code Geas just because both have giant robots.

They're both space westerns. I can technically see the connection. CB is about the bounty hunters, Trigun is about the one being bounty hunted...

I have not finished the entire run of Trigun and thus cannot compare them properly.

Getting recognized is weird. It happened to me on cockatrice the other day.

Also, I've actually passed the url to dtr to several people at the last few tournies I've been too. All of them devoted red mages :P

About the lurking mass: I don't really know what the point is in just lurking.
I mean, it's not like I'm contributing or anything, I'm just happy in having James come up and drop a "that's a stupid idea" on me every once in a while '-'
