Playing EDH with a friend last night.
End of their turn, Overloaded Cyclonic Rift.
My Turn Price of Knowledge.
He proceeded directly to scoop phase.
I love my Nekusar deck, I get to run so many weird cards.

thanks to nbw for the sig.
You do need to try to gay it up a little more.
You're like the least gay member of this clan.
And that's counting the fact that you voluntarily have sex with men.

That's sad. If it wouldn't be 90tix to build the electronic version of my pauper deck I would be sitting on so many packs given the crap people seem to want to run. If they make modo for tablets i'll consider it, because I could earn it back pretty easy. I'd wait for tablet so I could play more places and actually have a life while doing it.Yeah. I asked him what his win condition was supposed to be, he told me it was Skyfisher beats, lol.

We have an iPad 2 and an iPad Mini in almost constant use. Our laptop is gathering dust (although it is slow as hell and 5 years old), and only used when I update my Magic Suitcase collection. Tablets are totally worth it.Are tablets even worth the money? Everyone in my family has one. Even my niece and nephew.
An iOS version of MODO would be great. The only thing stopping me from getting MODO right now is our crappy laptop, and I have very little use for a new one right now.

re: Anime - I'm not a big fan of modern anime, but I think that's mainly a generational and cultural influence thing. I grew up on some of the "original" anime--Speed Racer, Kimba, Marine Boy and others--but my strongest influences by far have been western animation. Rankin/Bass did give us a few gems such as ThunderCats and SilverHawks that gave us more eastern flavor, but Filmation and Hanna/Barbera were the big players in our Saturday morning and after school cartoon lineups. I later discovered some of the greats like Vampire Hunter D, Neon Genesis Evangelon and Ghost in the Machine through DVD rentals, but most of the recent series are lost on me simply from lack of exposure coupled with little discretionary time relative to my broad interests. I've definitely
enjoyed Cowboy Bebop whenever i've caught the odd episode on cable, but I'm far from invested. Still, I'd agree that like everything else, there are gems and there is trash...I've certainly seen more than a few anime shows that I have no use for whatsoever. But then again, I can say the same of most of today's western animated series...good storytelling has given way to idiot-level humor.
re: Costumery - Windstrider and I along with our squeezes and cronies will be doing a bit of dressing up this weekend. Nothing on the level of cosplay convention stuff, but we are attending the Longest Night Masquerade Ball this Saturday. The theme is along the lines of Casino Royale, so I think Dan is of the same mind as I in going Bond-style villain, while the ladies seem to be leaning towards femme fatale...darn the luck.
I will definitely post pics after the event...it
should be quite a blast.
re: Pauper - format has always looked fun...I may jump in either on the zeman train or with Infect.

The above questions about MODO went unanswered, so let's repost them.About Magic Online...the start up package seems to include a bunch of cards (the sign up page mention over 650 cards). What are these? Can they be used in Standard Events? And Pauper Events (2-mans and 8-mans) have the same price support as similar Standard and Modern events, right?

No, they're gold bordered if I recall correctly. You do get some "new player event tickets" though, which you can use to play in some phantom events that do pay out in real prizes, so there's that. The above questions about MODO went unanswered, so let's repost them.About Magic Online...the start up package seems to include a bunch of cards (the sign up page mention over 650 cards). Funny how everyone in the west likes Asuka, everyone in Asia likes Rei; signifying the approval of their respective societal values; and everyone hates Shinji, who is a turd.

I have an android tablet and I am all but glued to the damn thing. My development rig is on the fritz (something is burnt out on the motherboard), and my laptop doesn't exist, so I have been doing everything on either my phone or my table, and it's not been too bad.

Just beat a guy who drew natural tron all three games, and I am the lucky one.
Also, NGE is the best anime ever and I won't talk to anyone who suggests otherwise.
