I don't think he knew how to run it. Game 1 I played T1 Stromkirk Noble, T2 Ash Zealot, T3 Reckoner, and then he scooped. Game 2 he got the combo off, and I hadn't boarded because I didn't see his deck at all game 1. Game 3 I double Slaughter Games and he scoops again.

I find out later that night he'd bought the deck whole on eBay and it had arrived that day.
Man, this sounds exactly like some kid who used to play at the LGS I used to go to, right down to the way he'd buy decks wholesale off of eBay. Always so annoying to play against 'cuz of shit like this, he'd do shit like
scoop game 1 and say something like "You won 'cuz your hand had more money in it" when the biggest ticket card I'd be holding was like a Wall of Omens or something and his hand was just a grip of Vengevines.
And he's not the only one at my LGS who does that. There's a whole little clique of them. One of them bought a Jund deck (INN/RTR season) and actually did pretty well, which just reinforced them all to do it even more.

I used to think I could win by netdecking a top list too. But these FoS pricks rid me of that misconception pretty quickly.

I'm getting a playset of this one, but that being said I don't like its anti-Storm implications. Thankfully, it has a double R casting cost so that limits its usability a bit.

I tried telling people on Facebook that Ajani isn't that good. Now I'm "the bad guy." Why do I even bother?

Is this what it feels like to be Zem?

It's like playing with Fireblast, Sulfuric Vortex, Pyrostatic Pillar, and Flame Rift. A little bit of pain is okay when your opponent is in more.

As far as Standard goes, he's probably going to be more useful in a little dudes deck that just want to attack. You can inflict more damage than you'll take from him by attacking. And then your opponent will take some damage from trying to stop your onslaught if they play some removal spells.

They have to kill it or take more damage. "Gullible and expendable, that's a 2'fer."

Yup. Taking damage isn't too big of a deal as long as your opponent takes more.

What do we thinks going to see more success, New Ajani, or Keranos?

Both cards are 5 mana and mostly gaurentee 1 turn of value. Ajani is easier to answer, but gives immediate value. Keranos is infinitely more difficult to answer, but needs multiple turns to get value. Both cards are in arguably mediocre colors, but the UR scryland being absent from standard means UR hasn't really had a chance to shine meaning there's plenty of room for a new archetype to appear.

What do you think gents?
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

Ajani first, Keranos later. At the beginning everyone's going to try and stuff Ajani into Naya and GW and realize it doesn't work. Keranos will slowly see some play in more controlish decks. How much success he will find I'm not sure.

How's about setessan tactics? I'm not 100% sure what shell it goes in, but that is some serious removal in green. I was nervous about strive, but this card has some real potential, especially as an instant speed mass removal spell.
