Your not going too like this answer... you won't find a sliver bullet, I suggest asking these players too play-test with you a few times until you get more comfortable with the MU or if they're friendly enough after losing/winning you could ask what they boarded in.

From this information you can learn boarding habits (etc: they have 4x SC, 0-2x MM, 4x LB (which I think is an insane number) if he running FSP or Rams, how many extra counters etc... etc...) you'll respond by being more careful with vaults, running less WLH, if you see Ram you could run same enchantment hate and so on.

Zem, if you don't mind me asking, what deck were you facing that you brought in the flamespeaker against?

MBA, RDW, U is clear

MBC is an interesting choice, I find. Do they side out enough removal?

Would you side in in also vs the mirror (together w/ Reckoner, possibly going all in on creatures)?

I'm inexperienced and such, but I REALLY like the looks of the list. Especially the sideboard. Maybe swap the Glares for W/T or Deicide, but...

I did read the mini-discussion on Eidolon VS Junk, guys. Just thinking it over trying to remember if it really did have much effect in my own games.

Eidolon ISN'T horrible per say... but you really need to make up your mind on what role you want to take on that MU, you can either:

A) Race them, run Eidolon and keep all your Boros Charm and Skull Crack <--- its not a bad plan, I actually rather like it (though I don't have room for Eidolon in my board)

or

B) Control them, run mass removals and kill them with an annoying threat (Chandra, Phoenixes, YP$ or Vaults with burn over the top) - (keep in mind we RUN Eidolon to fight against control so if your on the control role your running a card which is designed too kill you (everytime you drop your chains, MM, BL, or whatever your hurting yourself while they can just sit back with Ooze, BBV, Angels, Sheep, Hexproof walls, Courser and Ghostdads too grind you out)).

Thunder Strike is Lightning Strike I take it? :)
Probably. :) I just copied it from the main site, it's WotC's error.

Edit: And he finished 20th at 10-4... :(

Edit 2: But there's another Boros Burn deck (maindecked YP) in the top 8. :)

Now we can revisit that conversation wherein people told me that eidolon if the great revels outs up more results than young Pyromancer.

What is there to revisit? I thought most people think both are fine and you think Eidolon is horrible, I don't think this changes anything.

Also my friend sent me this, got a chuckle out of me

I'm with you on being against maindecking eidolon but the winner did have some in his sideboard which is a reasonable decision.

Doing another DE that maybe I'll be able to post this evening but here's a DE from a few days ago. I made some very questionable decisions in my 2nd round so if anyone wants to input, feel free. I finally got some music to it which may be a bit too nerdtastic. If you have any advice on the music volume, etc, I'm all ears.

@elricity
not really as its been discussed and concluded eidolon is great is some matches and ok in others where as yp is good all around hence sb eidolons. Someone placing high in a tourney doing this just confirms what we already know. If the top 4 decks were all burn with md eidolons then it might warrant further discussion.

I'm not clear what you think you're disagreeing with me on.

On another note, two toils vs a UW control deck locked the game in my favor. Nothing like outdrawing control. Amused I had both of my black sources from the deck in play. Also, keening apparation seems like the new revel, your opponents are never clear how to deal with it as you'll see in the UW control I played last set and the one I'm going to put
up from today.

Reviewing the list I played this weekend, I would change two cards.

Maindeck; -1 Mutavault, +1 land that I'm undecided on (Boros Guildgate, Temple of Silence, Mana Confluence or Mountain are all reasonable).

Sideboard; -1 Reprisal, +1 Mortars.

That's it. If I run the extra Temple of Silence I'd consider -1 Wear // Tear; +1 Keeping Apparition.

Second reprisal is much worse than the first and eight answers to four Polukranos seems like overkill; more utility in the second mortars basically.

No disagreement there, you liked the first one? I wasn't impressed. Still running conflag even though it's a mana hungry beast since I can flip it in vs esper and not feel it's a waste.

I am not ever spending 4 mana for that effect. Never, ever, ever.

I'm boarding out as many 4 drops as possible vs control as I reasonably can.

I still like the second reprisal since they have abrupt decays for lights/chains, but I can see the argument against.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

I played BG Devotion twice and I was shocked at how little Decay mattered when you plan ahead. Also my opponents were bad though; but you're mostly after the tempo swing.

Well with monsters specifically, mortars hits 8 targets, reprisal only 4. Admittedly you care about the 4 Polukranos more; but siding in two reprisal for only 4 demon is similarly iffy; I hate dead cards! There's also greater value in just killing Gary to stop him from returning with decay.

Fair, I would have probably done better if I had used mortar instead of conflag on his vampire.

That mana would have key you cast a second spell or activate Mutavault; that's usually more valuable.
