Happy birthday photo! Sorry for the delay, busy weekend and monday as always....

And good morning everyone!
Anyone interested in brewing a semi-competitive Heartless Summoning list? The obvious target that comes to mind is Sire of Insanity, but there have to be others, especially in a BUr shell with Havengul Lich.

Right now, I'm not so much interested in winning as having fun again.
Count me in. I think that also a Desacration Demon may be really funny to play in such kind of deck.
I'd like to ask for the clan's advice. I've barely played since GTC's release. I've been understandably quite
distracted by my dick, the gym, changing life circumstances and photodyer's coffee.

I really enjoy the Dos Rakis / RakHammer style of deck, and I'm currently weighing adding a third color to it for some resiliency. I could go Dega (+W) or Jund (+G) with a minimal splash for some slightly better creatures (Flinthoof Boar, Gyre Sage) and utility spells (Oblivion Ring, Boros Charm).

Given that I've gotten quite good at playing with the old Dos Rakis style (and my beloved transformational sideboard), which 3rd color would give me the most value? I'm leaning towards Jund but I'd love to hear more from the standard players here who have kept up with the shifting metagame.
Have you ever considered a mostly mono red deck with a splash of black for Falkenrath Aristo and SB options? I've been playing with that and it's pretty solid.
Image
(Thanks to Sioux for the awesome signature)

Current decks:

Vintage: Megrim
Legacy: B/W Control
Standard: Wolf Run Bant 2.0
Modern: Jund Midrange

That's what I'm rolling with too and I enjoy it.

So... what's the big secret guys?

'morning, gents.

I'm anxiously awaiting the results of my ex-wife's court appearance today. As mentioned previously, the prosecuting attorney floated the idea of dropping the felony down to a misdemeanor and time served of 120 days, which would release her with not much more than a slap on the wrist. The judge has the discretion of imposing the max sentence of one year, which would be something at least.

Anyways, I'm posting a rough Heartless list in the brewery thread. Comments are appreciated.

So, Alex and zeman whisper conspiratorially? Methinks the winds of change doth blow. That or Khaos farted.

@Helios — Sounds nasty. Here's hoping you feel better. I just got a notice from my daughter's school that a case of pertussis was found in one of the students. A bunch of people at my school are sick as well. Any
chance that could be it?

@Kaze: I haven't had time in a while, but I've done a fair bit of altering in the past. If you're looking to commission stuff, hit me up. I'll post some pics of my alters at some point so that you can check them out.

@windy: Good luck, man...here's hoping they make the right choice.

Thanks, man. I'm hoping so too. The other dad in the case has been pressuring the prosecutor's office by calling in the news media. I'm letting him take the heat.

I added a note to you in my previous post.

Nah, I think it was either a 24-hour bug or food poisoning. I'm feeling a whole lot better at the moment. Which is good, because I have a test in my 1:00 class. Going to skiv off work to make sure I can keep solid food down & study, then go in in the afternoon.

@ham- I highly recommend Aristocrats Act 1. After playing Dos Rakis, it's an easy transition. Make tweaks as needed. It's really fun and a breath of fresh air. I've been using it in helping my buddy test his brews in anticipation of GP Miami.

Wow, that is one hell of a busy weekend. My internet was down, but I missed a lot.

Everyone's suspended from MTGS...again (not that it matters as much, but still). They are officially using this thread as evidence and RA's gone off the deep end.

Oh, and Sasky's a mod and photo's older. Congratulations and happy birthday respectively.

Maybe we should use the restricted areas a bit more often for some of this discussion...

Also, I actually played magic over the weekend, came in fifth at the prerelease (out of around 30) using a grindy orzov build. Kinda looking forward to making some standard decks again. Also: Z's grow deck is intriguing.

Anywho, good to hear from everyone again...

Little high, Little low, gents! I'm glad to see that the network is back up to snuff...the timeouts last night were just plain ridiculous.

@windstrider - I know a guy what owns a dump truck...and a cement truck. Just sayin'...

@zeman - Dryad & Delvers...haven't seen any iterations of that since M13 meta. I played the Dryad in a BG Zombie list where she was pretty damn scary...except against goddamn Vapor Snag! :flame:

@ Khaos - Light a match next time, dude; winds of change are fine, but winds of retching death are something else altogether!

@ Aesnath - glad to see you back...well, at least to the extent that I can see through these aging eyes.

Okay, off to bed now. Play nice while I'm sleeping and burn down some quaint little villages. :evillol:

I can't say I agree with trolling MTGS just for the sake of trolling them... that strikes me as the petty actions of someone who just can't get over it - like the girl that says she's over her ex but, a year later, still leaves annoying messages on his FB page.

If you are going to do it, though, Aesnath's right - you should start posting stuff like that in the Restricted area.

Also, flowers are too expensive. Just got my girl a little bouquet to surprise her at work - $80.00. Ugh...

^This. I bought a corsage for my daughter, and it ended up being $20 for two flowers, some ribbon, and sparklies added to it. I understand making a profit but jeez.
