Well, it's almost time for my first EDH match.
Eric, Ren and Jensen were activists
Heads loaded with theory, their hearts are filled with passion
Shared the same left wing politics
Liked the same music, they were part of the protest movement
Now, Anna presented herself as a feminist
Studied the way they talked and dressed
Fashioned herself an anarchist
Eric fell in love with Anna at the meeting of the crime think conference
He didn't know it but Anna was an FBI informant

Most of the players at my store can't believe I've only played one 1v1 game that never finished.

I wanted to build around Jhoria, but I was told I would probably have no fun because I would be a huge target. Now I want to build around Rafiq, but I got the same reaction. I'm still going with Rafiq, I think, but I want to make it a tribal knight deck. I also thought about Oona, but got a lesser but similar reaction.

I can't tell if I'm picking bad/unfun generals, or the edh group at my shop are just a bunch of bitches.

Oona is actually more annoying than Jhoira / Rafiq if built right. People hate milling / having their stuff exiled and Oona does both.

I'm pretty sure I've decided on a not-so-controlly Rafiq build (I ordered him and a couple other cards last night). I basically just want to do a tribal knight deck like I said, and he's the only legendary knight with a decent ability that also has white in his identity that I'm aware of.

And at this point I'm pretty sure nothing I build will be built right, lol. As far as EDH staples go, I have one Sol Ring.

You don't really need Sol Ring any green edh deck. Just use land ramp instead. Sol Ring makes you a huge target if you drop it turn one but for some reason people seem to ignore stuff like Burgeoning / Exploration / Mana Dorks.

A turn 1 Hierarch in Rafiq is much stronger than a turn 1 Sol Ring imo.

I think Sol Ring in EDH pisses me off since everyone plays it and some people always have it on turn 1.
