I keep following that damn thread praying that SmoothCriminal will call Kamahl out on some of his BS so I can ask Kamahl if he's okay, is he okay, are you okay, Kamahl? Because you've been hit by, you've been struck by, a smooth criminal.

It makes Rakdos's Return looks like a beatup vagina.

Who wants to alter my playset of Rakdos's Return and turn it into Redthirst's Return? Extra points if you can make it phallic. Rakdos only has 1 burning eye, after all.

Working on my first game with bunch of friends, trying to get it onto IndieGoGo to be able to work on it all day and night and even have some pocket money for smokes and cards. Also, looking for everyday job when project fails. Changing my studies course to Psychology, as I'm just really bad at IT. As overall, shit hit the fan. Still have no way to play MTG. At least I can hang out with ya, guys.

It's fine, I don't think half of us play Magic more than maybe an hour a week anyway.

We have Burning Earth and the manabases just keep getting more greedy.

At this point, why even bother with Mutavault? I feel like shoving in four Ghost Quarter to make these kind of decks pay DEARLY.

"What, you have no basic lands? That's a real shame..."

A few pages back I was musing on Ghost Quarter being a Standard legal Wasteland vs. the right decks. Do you think it should replace some basics in a mono-red / light splash 2 color deck, or should it take up a spell slot in the sideboard?

Depends on what you're running. It is very likely that I'm going to deviate from what others are running here by going with a spell-heavy mono red list since I piloted it for only a couple of hours and immediately fell in love with it. In this kind of deck, I feel like Ghost Quarter is strictly better than Mutavault and should outright replace it since it's a lot more controlling than other red lists.

In other decks like AIR, I feel like Mutavault
is too good not to run. You're typically wanting to kill by turn four or five and Mutavault helps increase your creature count. Ghost Quarter might be a decent sideboard card but if you're running Burning Earth then why bother shoving Ghost Quarter into the sideboard of an aggressive list?

For reference, my deck (I think I posted it a couple of pages back):

[deck]
Creatures (16)
4 Young Pyromancer
4 Chandra's Phoenix
4 Guttersnipe
4 Hellrider

Spells (22)
4 Faithless Looting
4 Pillar of Flame
4 Shock
4 Searing Spear
3 Wild Guess
3 Flames of the Firebrand

Lands (22)
4 Ghost Quarter
18 Mountain

Sideboard (15)
2 Electrickery
2 Smelt
4 Skullcrack
1 Flames of the Firebrand
3 Burning Earth
3 Blasphemous Act
[/deck]

All the normal jund stuff is highly castable in the Jedi Jund manabase. It's the finding white mana for your white cards on 8 virtual white sources(3 lands, 4 farseek, 1 lantern). Seems impossible to cast sin collector on curve. However, the idea's seem sound as jund rarely cares about casting anything on curve besides huntmaster or tusk since it's much more content settling in for the long game and reacting to what the opponents doing. Still...DUBIOUS.

I think angel post uses angelic accord, restoration angel, centaur healer, trostani, and bubbling cauldron along with lots of other mediocre value cards as an engine to pump out angels every turn. I saw the list...somewhere, and it looked equally parts awefull and sweet at the same time.

the Angel post I played against was U/w (protection from burning earth)

I don't know the numbers, but it looked like it was probably this:

[deck]
4 Azorius Charm
4 Supreme Verdict
4 Terminus
4 Think Twice
2 Pithing Needle
4 Angelic Accord
4 Trading Post
4 Sphinx's Revelation
2 Renounce the Guilds
[/deck]

usual U/w subjects. Might have been some resto angels and snaps in there too, but probably not because of the board wipes and alternate win conditions. Ratchet bombs in the side to deal with whatever.

The black splash is cute, but I'm not sure how necessary it is. Scroll of avacyn and some other choices are pretty extra too

[deck]Back to the old Mono Red[/deck]

Matchups were BW Tokens, a janky BW Festering Newt control, and Bant Hexproof. Pyreheart Wolf did work as usual. Ash Zealot was very relevant. Ratchet Bomb made me win a Bant Hexproof game with my opponent technically at 40 life.
