I just want to note, against Jund a lot of times it is a T2 farseekT3 Huntmaster or a T4 Thragtusk or maybe both, unless I curve into burning earth on the play that is a lot to fight through. I might just be unlucky, but Jund might just be well positioned.

4 MB Liliana
Rakdos Control?
Liliana, Dreadbore and Bonfire should keep the board under control for the 4 and 5 drops to do their thing. I do like this deck!

I have played a decent amount of Junk Aristocrats, the new deck of the day, a lot depends on the build and their gameplan. Tragic Slip (out of SB) after they sac something to aristocrat or varolz is a virtual 2 for 1 and I am sure to save removal for the priest because when I don't I lose. Junk midr...

That terrible manabase just to run one Wolf Run is not worth it. You'll be sorry for running eight checklands. Tell me about it! That was a problem I discovered during my cockatrice testing, a lot of T2 plays didn't happen that should have putting me down around 2-6 damage in a meta where you can't...

Well this is what I was running tonight on cockatrice, NEVER drew the wolf run, having 5 4 drops and 4 5 drops was really fun to run, needs tweeking if I have dreams of taking it live. It's Rakdos Run. //Main 4 Ash Zealot 1 Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch 2 Rakdos Cackler 4 Falkenrath Aristocrat 4 Thunder...

3 Toil / Trouble side is too many. 2 is the magic number. On that note, a local friend and I got into a friendly argument on Toil / Trouble vs Skullcrack in the sideboard vs UWx decks in Standard. He's written for SCG so I always enjoy talking Magic with someone who is actually decent at evaluating...

I'll give him another chance. :D I would drop a cackler before a stonewright, and you know how awesome they are. Anyway here is what I am going to try, those Junk Tokens made me go back to 4 pillars and 4 KOI Deck: Untitled Deck http://deckstats.net/mana/m/b.gif http://deckstats.net/mana/m/r.gif //...

The meta is beginning to call for him again. Spike Jester can certainly offer some explosive second turns, but Knight of Infamy answers so many cards currently played that he might be bigger game against the field. He's like the Honey Badger. He just doesn't care about Azorius Charm , Loxodon Smite...

Would you rather them counter Trouble or Falkenrath Aristocrat or even Thundermaw Hellkite? Well that it a good argument for Toil/Trouble, we don't run a lot of 3cc cards and forcing them to counter a T3 spell would put us in a good position. Also I didn't think of this before, but a lot of times w...

Id rather play Trouble for 7 on turn three. That just seems like having a Trouble countered on T3, this could very well be the local meta I play in though as I don't think syncopate and dissipate are anywhere near as heavily played as I am used to seeing them. I just assume I will have to play arou...

But when are you going to hold up mana in this deck? You're only hurting yourself by keeping land untapped to play around Revalation. This deck can't afford to do that. You need to be expending your mana every turn or you're only falling further behind in virtual card advantage. And that is why I d...

The thing about Revelation is that it often comes when our opponent is at a low life total. Often they will gain 3-4 life and be at 10-15. In your scenario, Skullcrack will net 6-7 damage where Toil / Trouble will net 11. Also, casting Trouble for 7 on turn three isn't out of the question. Add to t...

I keep losing to Jund midrange variants. Land, ramp, huntmaster, thragtusk, thundermaw or another huntmaster or thragtusk. Wolfrun for the win. They midrange better than we midrange and the 8 spells that gain life and make multiple bodies make it hard to race. What is everyone else doing? I've been...

How happy have you guys been so far with Spike Jester vs Knight of Infamy? There is a decent amount of white around At first I liked him and then I was iffy but, I can't believe I ever doubted Spike Jester over KOI. It is so much faster racing mid range and control. If you can go Cackler T1 then Je...

If you're looking for an earlier sweeper than Act, then Rolling Temblor should work well. Act is good for a combo-kill with Reckoner. I think I was just on tilt after he had 5 creatures on board after his turn 2 (triple BTE). I'm still ...

What was your exact list? Because this deck preys on midrange strategies. I didn't think twice when a Dark Naya player played Rhox Faithmender -> Thragtusk -> Huntmaster. It just doesn't do anything to us with Boros Reckoners on the ground and Thundermaw Hellkites in the air... Anyway, here's my re...

I also played tis for the second week and dropped after going 1-2, got crushed by Naya midrange (huntsmater, thragtusk and resto were too much, I still had outs though) and Gruul agro (he just god-handed g1 and then I couldn't draw any of the removal after a mul to 6) The top 8 was from what I could...
