Nah, MTGS New Card Discussion is very slightly worse.

Hope you feel better soon bluebro.

wow the quotes about peoples evaulations of firedrinker makes me sad like this one.
Compare it to Dragon Hatchling: I did that in the earlier post and the idiotic reply was "but hatchling is a 0/1!" 0/1 huh? ok. So with this p.o.s. waste of a rare (yes, still calling it that) I can pay 4 mana to pump him to a 4/1, take two to my face, and be blocked by anything in existance.

With hatchling I can pay 4 mana and - surprise, surprise - it is
also a 4/1, doesn't shock me needlessly, and flies over for a more secure and clean hit. And its a common.

Lets compare to something else. Capashen Knight.

Drawbacks: Costs 1 more and 1 less power.
Pluses: Same firebreathing cost. No asinine "killing yourself" damage. First Strike providing actually relevance and discouraging blocking. And its also a common.
this may be the dumbest card evaluation I have ever seen. :confused2:
Wow... just... wow.

So, seems like my family has angered the Gods.
Last month my grandpa has passed away, my father has been hospitalized on friday and I've yet to be able to meet him, and today my little brother sprained his shoulder.

I hope I'm not the next in line, but if I stop posting feel free to draw your conclusions.

Well, Red has completely different card evaluation than any other colour of Magic.
The main question you are asking is not "is it good?" but "does it hurt?".

Good morning everyone!

Me and my friend both scrubbed out of the PTQ. We both had very solid fair decks and both beat an archangel of thune on the day, but I lost 2 very close matches and he got primeval bounty'd in a round.

Yesterday wasn't a complete bust though. We came back from the event, Cubed, and I won after siding out of my naya deck into 4 color control with 3 wraths because I new my naya agro deck couldn't beat ramp. Then I went out with my sister who was randomly in town and while at the club, I met this Australian stunt actress.

I do love me some Australian stunt actress :unibrow:

At least I have the LoL Worlds to keep me company as I recover. Watching Koreans and Chinese players wail on each other is satisfying, those games are hella action packed. Straight up bloodbaths.

UR Tokens is interesting, but I think Master of the Waves is probably not playable.

I hear that Hammer of Purphorous makes really good tokens though, FYI.

Lemondogs vs SKT was awesome. And fuck my life, couldn't sleep during day as I had to care about my sick girlfriend. My plan was to watch all the matches (dying to see Vulcun vs Samsung and Gambit vs Samsung).

Not hyperbole. Sucks ass, because apparently it's like a 20 person PTQ according to my friend who went anyway because it's a five minute walk. It was supposed to hit yesterday, but instead hit today.

A 45 minute walk to the train station in the typhoon, then an hours train ride, with the possibility of the trains stopping and me being stranded and not making it to the PTQ anyway / work tomorrow isn't worth it.

Man, when I was in Japan for the PT, I remember how much getting around sucked. I don't envy you at all. We were staying in Tokyo (we were staying for three weeks after the PT) and it took us FOREVER to get to the damned tournament center in Kyoto.

tl;dr: Japan sucks if you want to travel, even when there isn't a hurricane outside of your door.

Deck looks like it's at cross purposes.

On the one hand, it's playing Denizen>emissary/striker which is hyper aggressive. On the other hand, it's got double hammer, Chandra, and 24 lands which lends itself to a slower deck.
