Something bugs me a little bit. When looking at knight cards, especially the really powerful ones, a really high percentage of these are girls/women (Knight of the Reliquary, Student of Warfare, Knight Exemplar etc...). many good knights are girls? I have a few theories:

1) A large portion of magic players are male and find girl knights attractive, so it makes them buy more cards. However, this should then reflect on the whole of magic being dominated by women and I think the knights are particularly female-dominated so the theory doesn't seem to hold up too well.

2) Portraying strong females is seen as a positive thing in society because it appears to promote equality between the genders and thus printing strong girl knights makes people happy, supportive, and more likely to buy more cards. This seems reasonable.

3) It just happened to be this way. Some random factor decides card genders.
