The mana is not so good that they're always going to chain removal and the deck has no filtering until turn 3 at sorcery speed, so who knows what they'll draw in what order. Historically this sort of deck is good for Mono R and post board you'll be replete with threatens and burning earth. I like that matchup a lot.
I actually ported this deck into a thread over in the brewery...I will copy posts over. After playing Rock and then BW Mid through the end of this season, I must agree with all of your comments, zeman. The aggro MU--assuming they mull and curve out reasonably--hinges on either 1-for-1'ing the aggro player or hitting a sweeper then dropping bigger stuff than aggro can deal with. There are some EXCELLENT synergies in Orzhov Mid/
Control range with the addition of Theros, but I have serious doubts about it's viability without mass removal. The tradeoff this deck is having to make to get that board wipe are going to hurt significantly against mono-red.

Actually, I still like BBD's Orzhov list better because he's going after the synergy between Whip and Obzedat. It's a sweet setup...you literally cannot keep Obzedat dead without removing the whip from the battlefield (bring Obzedat back from the GY with whip's ability, then stack triggers so that Obzedat's ability is responsible for his exile rather than the whip's. It satisfies the whip's ability rules and Obzedat is returned to play permanently.

Deck looks fine. I mean, I don't like Purphoros, but TCG likely told her to include the gods in any build since they're pre selling them for $$$$$.

I've actually heard two times today that usually I look like I want to kill someone.
The worst thing is that comes from my health condition.
So I happen to be funny and cheerful during talk, and stare at someone like the only thing on my mind would be killing his/her mother.
But I really try to look happy on photos. :<

Quick question: if we're moving into a meta of "battleship" Magic, does anyone think that Carnival Hellsteed has a chance? If that had a 5 CMC, it would have seen play. At the prerelease for RtR, I kept thinking it was 5 and being excited about it.

I don't see anything overly wrong with Jackie's list. Purphoros looks to be out of place. Should be Chandra instead.

I'd say Carnival Hellsteed might be strong and relevant. He usually can't block when you play him, but that 6-power hasty first strike means a lot these days. He's better at grinding out Desecration Demon as an example - on the other hand he lacks of any evasion.

I hate the regular artwork for Polukranos. The Heroes vs. Monsters artwork is better.
