In a pinch, Khaos' beard can help turn this around.
I rarely skip a Khaospawn wall of text because I know there is always piss at the end of the rainbow.
There are only 2 acceptable answers. The first is the obvious dr. Teeth shock (clearly the best shock), and the second, slightly better, option is one of each. Any time you can run 4 different arts for the same card you should. It's just the same with any cards that have been printed in 4 or more sets, you should run 4 different printings, and at least one of each art. Like my psionic blasts in my Ug counter control deck, I have a beta, an unlimited, a timeshifted, and a player rewards version, and the counterspells are unlimited, ice age, tempest, and 7th. The idea is to get a good mix of editions in your deck, it shows you've playing for a while (or you spent an extra dollarish whenWhich card should be included in the PyroRed Lists?
You do need to try to gay it up a little more.
You're like the least gay member of this clan.
And that's counting the fact that you voluntarily have sex with men.
The plan was to just kill them as they came down and stabilize with Hammer and Chandra for the first game and then use Act of Treason on it in the second and third games. What was your plan against Reck? Swing in the barrage to prevent 2-1? Falter effects?Yes, please stop.
I took Z's PyroRed list to a first place finish at FNM tonight. So much win in that deck. Got stomped by a Devotion Red deck. It's no fair using Reckoners against us.Ouch.
The deck was a blast to play.
Actualy I disagree with this for strategic reasons. If you run multiple arts of the same card you're giving away free information. You give away the number of a card you're playing (I saw him play shock twice game 1, and game 2, but saw 4 different art so therefore I know he plays 4 and likely didn't remove any while sideboarding) as well as the possible duress-oops effect (Duress, see shock and others take something else, then you play shock later but with a different art forgetting which he saw, so he now knows what card you drew). I go out of my way to make sure my art matches. Even Basic lands. There are only 2 acceptable answers. The first is the obvious dr. Truth. I just can't play decks that just masterbate onto the board and sees what happens. Mad props to Z for making a deck with really interesting play decisions form turn 1. It almost feels like old school delver.
I need red decks with that can grind out longer games while still putting on pressure, none of this all in crap
That's a valid point I had not considered. I need to go through and rethink my a number of my personal policies (including the fact that allActualy I disagree with this for strategic reasons. That....is brilliant. Would work well with g/x as well.Beerthday, LP!
I'm seriously thinking abut using Goblin Diplomats in PyroRed due to issues in Devotion Red matchup. Forcing bad combat is a good way to win this matchup with all the burn and tricks.
Attacking Reckoners and Frostburns aren't that scary anymore.
Oh I accept it is slow (less so with a hanmer) but I just get excited about tools that allow you to out play and maneuver in an aggressive deck. Reminds me of fun trigger stacking in puresteel or when damage used to go on the stack.Diplomats are slow, remember about that. But I think it's still worth a shot far more than those miserable Shortcutters or unreliable in case of this deck Firefist Strikers. Especially since you can do shitty stuff to your opponent like "burn a creature" put elemental token make it block Reckoner sacc before damage comes in. And you are doing shit like that all day.
It also works on trample guys negating all their damage.
One of the requirements for trample to be activated is to be able to assign the damage to the creature. You are BLOCKING but your opponent cannot assign any damage. Creature doesn't deal any damage this turn.Blocking a trampler and then sacrificing the blocker won't stop trample damage.
Not true, a trample creature that is unblocked at the combat damage step will damage you in full, even if it assignedYep, I got everything except of 3 Magma Jets and 4 Lightning Strikes. And I can't afford buying Mizzium Mortars now.
There aren't many traders with Theros ATM, but you just need to look for certain cards.
Also, care. People tried to sell me Fanatic of Mogis for 4$.
While I bought foil Hammer of Purphoros for 1$.
