When people complain about things I do that are kosher(like asking hand size, taking time making plays, etc.) I'll either do it more to tilt them in competitive events or talk SO MUCH SHIT at something like FNM. I enjoy making people look and feel stupid from time to time.
Yes, I'm a horrible person.

I've done that in pretty much every event where I don't listen to music.
All those sarcastic comments I make on stream? I'm exactly like that in person.

Im know as the guy who talks nonstop during the match. About everything. Some of the regulars that i play aginst have learned to filter it out(plus i respect them too), but the players i haven't seen before have sometimes gone full rage mode when i continue to ramble about everything i can think of.

If you can keep up a constant conversation while concentrating on the game and making smart plays, then you put yourself at a great advantage. Most people can't do this. I tried to do this for a time because having the other guy talking nonstop about non-related topics distracted me and caused me to misplay, but then I realized that the same thing happened when I tried to do it. Granted, I'm by no means quiet when I play, and I'll almost always be making conversation with my opponent, but the talk is usually about the current game, or at least Magic in general.

Talking during the match depends on who I am playing. Someone I am unfamiliar with who visits the shop to play for the event for the day I tend to keep quiet and just play and maybe talk to them a little afterwards or between matches. If it is one of the usuals,my friends, or my brother a mix of gameplay talk and casual talk with discussion after the match going over how to better improve our match ups depending on win or loss.

Sorry, what I meant is that we (the community) will have to share you / your decklists / your ideas with the world. It's not a bad thing that you're getting more famous, but I think we like the tech you give us being relatively secret. Greedy, I know.I wasnt aware JS and I were co-authors.
Next season, we'll play a lot more mirrors

In other news, it seems like I may have to work on Christmas. Fucking Japan.
Anyone willing to write a new "Choosing your Aggro Deck" article? I need to know which one is best vs a field of people who refuse to acknowlege the real meta and bring random shit, even to GP level tournaments.

I can probably oblige. Tl;dr version.
Mono-red Pyro, if you feel adept at mental gymnastics and expect tons of mono-black, esper, and some mono-blue with little R/G
Walter White if you like the above deck and want a more even matchup spread. Less byes, but less bad matchups.
Boros humans if you don't mind being softer to esper and opposing agro decks.
GW if you hate yourself and/or want to beat up on midrange decks and if you think the red players don't know what they're doing.
Devotion red(khaos style) if you want a red deck with maindeck mirror advantage and hate colossul gruul with a passion.
Note, all of this is theoretical since I've only been testing with Pyro red, and walter white out of all these decks, but I have played with them in the past month and think my predictions are fairly accurate. I didn't include Big Boros because you likely know that deck much better then I do and I didn't include
my Big Devotion Red deck because it's not really an agro deck, more of a combo midrange deck, but I'd say it has a great esper and mono-black matchup, passable mono blue, even to slightly favorable gruul matchup and favorable agro matchup postboard.
It's likely the best deck vs. random shit too which is relevant to anyone playing in Japan I would think. Cons are it's non-intuitive to play and has a fairly...awkward learning curve, especially if you've never played combo decks that deal with generating extra mana and being concerened with non-traditional resources(red mana symbols).

First post itself needs an update, my last post(minus fate trolling) is approximately what I'm playing at SCG LA on Saturday.

That's an interesting list, but not really my cup of tea. I think I'm going to test Walter White, but will likely still be on Big Boros because it seems good for my meta / versus random decks.viewtopic.php?f=108&t=1752

Sweet, its not like we're paying for decks or events right now anyways so that $10 on top of the usual winningsTo negotiate on articles. $10/ video which means every event is a free-roll.

I wouldn't be shocked if many of the RDW grinders are sitting on $500 or more at the end of this season. (not looking forward to all the extra mirrors I have to face because you Z)

I am +$190 so far, so going well. I want to face as many red mirrors as possible, it is literally my best matchup. I just wreck-face in red mirrors. I think last season on stream I went 18-3 or something silly.
