Shooting things (animals, people, whatever), shouldn't be considered so normal. Just saying, Americans have a bad reputation in the world for this issue.
Go to Africa and some parts of South America where everything is on the menu for killing. Americans have a bad reputation? We don't cut off the heads of infidels, we don't stone our women for adultery, we don't have cast systems or slavery, and I could keep going.....
We kill one damn dog or criminal in defense...some crazy criminals goes on a random shooting sprees and America has a bad reputation? :confused2:
You really should quit while you're behind.
I can't help it when some idget throws crap out like that and thinks no one will respond. It's why
I stopped going to the water cooler on MTG salvation. Such one sided bull shit. I also don't know if you are being sarcastic and not sure if I care. I'm tired from caring for liberal puke grandparents for a week and a half. Cooking, cleaning, taking care of their dressing needs, and other problems. I get to go home Thursday night, but right now, I just want to go home a hug my 2 cats and dog to clear the insanity out of me. Trying to fake nice is killing me.

Need sleep for 5AM old people Bull shit morning mode. Wraith out.
Kaze, stop being an ass.
The world is one big "At least we're not doing that" fest and it's petty and silly and makes me want to throw things.

Comparisons are made where they shouldn't be. Thoughts like this and related are why we'll never all get along and sing about world peace while holding hands and shit.
The rest of the world is not Canada. We can't help ourselves cause emotions (
Windstrider point), customs, religion, and political beliefs get in the way. Most can be ignored, but others cannot. World Peace is boring and I don't want to hold hands. Blame me.
I don't want to restart the discussion, I hope nobody was really offended by me saying "americans have a bad reputation in the world". I realize that stating this in a forum full of americans may cause some reactions, but i just hope everyone is open-minded. Unfortunately is difficult not to be misunderstood when writing in forums.
Anyway i think comparing USA to Africa doesn't mean anything. You should compare it to Europe.
Now I'll be reading the article :)
Say your sorry, poke us in the ass again, and ask us to be open minded? Brilliant! You
will fit in perfectly!
Trying to compare the U.S. to Europe always ends with this:
Image
I only took one graduate comparative politics class cause a verbal fight would generally break out frequently EVERY class. Neither side wanted to give an inch. One group just did not give a shit about the other or just wanted tell the other off (U.S.), and the other was a bunch of stuck up bitches. There was oddly two Canadians in the class that thought they could bring everyone together. I think the the two feuding groups hated those 2 more than than each other. The one Russian in the class never said three words and just quietly drank from his hidden flask. There were ALOT of foreign exchange students in that class. The whole class was nothing but explaining the weird politics and parties of Europe to Americans and why we should be like them. There was no real discussion about anything "comparative" or
any interest from the Europeans in learning about us (real American lives and political movements). It was the most retarded class I ever took.

Ugh chill the fuck out with the "my country can beat your country up" bullshit. People are people, and what country you happened to be born in doesn't make you better or worse than anyone else.

Oh Wraith, you're so manly!
I try! I added a little more to that post to give it some perspective of what I witnessed at UTSA. Comparative Political Processes class, what a fucking head banger, waste of time that was. It was very close to being real world Monty Python. Walk into class and get yelled at>>>>you respond "I came here for an argument!">>>>>They say "oh, this is abuse". That should have been UTSA slogan for the political science program. Instead they had "Two drink minimum".

They can't. They are to drunk/hungover, high on peyote, or still rolling in money from their casinos.

Yeah, I was just expecting something more a long the lines of "here's the best 3-4 archetypes to look for in your Sealed pool." All of his analysis was made with draft in mind which is a completely different format.

It's really amazing to me how differently people from different parts of the country view the world, and America's place in it. As well as all the domestic policy issues.

I think one very important thing to remember is that the USA is a very large country. Texas alone is roughly the same size (land-mass wise) as France. If you thought you had a lot of disparate views in a single European country, multiply that a few times and that's what it looks like here.

And for that matter, SC2.

Path of Exile is fun. It's an homage to Diablo and Diablo 2 and not made by Blizzard.

What's a Hearthstone tournament?

Also that reminds me, when are we starting monthly forum tournaments?
A game made by Blizzard and its finally in open beta
Unless it was made by Blizzard on or before 2007, no thanks.
Its F2P and you can win an ego bragging magical card game forum trophy so why not?
It's too bad we don't have a secret subforum where we can coordinate troll attempts where only we can see so that we don't have to catch on because only one of us is an actual rocket scientist.

Khaos, I want to see that list.
Better late than never, amiright?

I originally played 4 Merrow Reejerey, but I happened to pick up 2 Nasty Thassy before the tournament started and just replaced two of the Reejereys with her. I beat Jund, R/G Tron, and Scapeshift. I lost in a rough Game 3 against Twin.

The cool thing is, I never really felt outclassed or behind in any match-up. Also, Spreading Seas is just ridiculously good. And like I said earlier, Cosi's Nigster is fucking holy shit amaze-balls when he's good, and absolute fucking garbage when he's not. I still don't know if he's better than Cursecatcher. But then I think back to my games against Tron and laugh on the inside since they pretty much search their deck every freakin'
turn.

[deck]Lord.dec[/deck]

My friends and I started drinking some 18 year-old rum after Round 1. Since I haven't been drinking, my tolerance has gone way down. By the end of the night I was pretty piss-ass drunk. I spilled my drink by accident on this U/W/R Control player's deck midgame. Fortunately, the only cards I damaged were an Electrolyze and 2 Lightning Helices, so I used some of my winnings to replace his rum-damaged cards.

I then proceeded to go to Applebee's for more drinks and food. All I can remember is that the
tab was almost a hundred dollars and we got kicked out after paying. Why? Cuz apparently I finished my drink and slammed the empty glass down on the bar so hard it shattered. I barely remember doing that. I somehow drove home in the fog and after that, I really don't remember much else. I'm paying for all the shenanigans today with one of the worst hangovers in recent memory.

This is why I shouldn't drink. :gonk:

You are excused.

Been shot before and will take the bullet every time as I have yet to see a survivor of a beheading. How are Westboro Baptists dangerous? At worst you get a bad sermon or the runs from crap cooking? Forgive me, I actually have no idea who the Westboro Baptists are. If I were you; I would have rolled with the drug cartel argument instead of a bunch of geriatrics.

I have a question about YOUR country. Have you seen, with your own eyes, the giant beaver dam? I saw it on satellite images and thought that was amazing.

Inches. It takes between 1/8th and 1/4th of an inch of snow to shut things down around here and cause everyone to strip the stores of milk and bread.

2" will be anarchy.

Oh, shut up. In texas (Hill Country) we have been in a nasty drought for 5 years. My lake near by is a mud pit (median Lake). My neighbors wells have gone dry. Housing development has stopped in certain areas as water wells that were thought to be good are dry now. The ranch WAY down the road from me trucks in water everyday for his cattle.

It's bad when you get 3 inches of rain and absolutely NOTHING happens. 5 inches>>>>nothing happens. We need 24 inches to do anything.

Drought sucks and if you think that's bad; wait for the impending flood to follow. Nature is so not
cool.

Yeah, there's people stranded all over north Alabama because the roads were ill prepared for the ice. We just don't get this kind of weather very often and don't have a lot of the things northern municipalities take for granted. That includes our power lines. Those will go out much more easily than the ones up north.

You missed the point like a champ.

But no, I've not seen the dam in person.
