It does look fun though... I'm gonna play Burn in Modern once the banning are in place online (are they?) just so that I can pick on Pod, Urw Control and Fae again without Jund rearing its ugly head.

Pain Seer is very good. You get draws where he just wins the game by himself; much like Pat Rat; so you have a lot of busted draws. Eg. thoughtseize > Painseer > removal = GameBtw Where are you currently at? Owen posted 2 lists (1 bigger with merchants as a reach, the other smaller with pain seer). How good is Pain Seer really without bestow (bestowing flying makes him stellar)
Also any comment on Paul Dunn's Black Heroic Agro (31 points on a GP so doesnt look like a fluke) especially Nighthowler and Agent of the Fates over traditional Desecration Demon and Specter/Zombie combo?
I know it might be bad, but Black have got 2 really powerful bestow creatures, and both Agent and Pain Seer gains a lot from those 2 cards.[/quote:

It's quite bad, but it does get upgrades from BNG so is worth looking in to. MJ streamed the deck in a DE and it was truly awful.
This is personal preference; I have a differently configured SB. I like keeping in thoughtseize because I lean more heavily on Rat / Seer than he does. Also where are you at sb out Thoughtseize vs Mono Black when playing Black Agro? I saw Owen was on it (sb out seizes and zombies for specters and dark betrayals).
I want to look at the viability of Bg Aggro.

Manabase in Bg seems bad right now. It is Kibler's true love (he is always writting about this deck), however he is always complaining how it doesnt allow you to run mutavaults, makes deck slower (especially when you play guildgates over temples where temples "gives" you something to minimize the fact they cipt).
What green cards are you looking at? Lotleth Troll, Reaper of the Wilds and Dreg Mangler?

Abrupt Decay, Lotleth Troll and Dreg Mangler. I don't think Reaper of the Wilds is where I want to be in an aggro deck; its VERY slow.

When I played this deck affinity and burn was one of the worst matchup as it needs time to set up. Lots of artifact hate and lifegain in sb?
(deck run huntmasters in sb + glen elendra for other matches, but people
didnt like setting vial to 4 if I remember correctly)

Like 100% better. You couldn't win if they had more DRS than you had removal for them, ever. Now that just isn't a problem.
Affinity is a poor matchup, but if you're expecting it you can definitely fix it post board very easily.
I am not certain that Huntmaster is better than Obstinate Baloth tbh. Baloth is also hilarious vs. Liliana.

As to advertising the site and getting members from Salvation, I try keeping the Twitter feed relevant with bad jokes and uninsightful comments. I also plug the zemmers.
Basically has no followers though, and those who do follow never retweet to their followers, so I'm basically tweeting to nobody.

Zem, bashing Vexing Devil twice in one article and then blowing off a comment by a player 100x better than you just makes you look like you don't know what you're talking about. If burn ever becomes a thing in Modern, that card will probably be a 4-of. It's put up considerable numbers in Modern, more than a lot of cards you probably like more than it. I would dredge up results for you, but I know you and everyone else here will just cover your eyes and ears and try to drown out whatever disagrees with your opinion.
Philip Yam knows his shit. When someone of that caliber puts statistics in front of you refuting your point, you can't just say, "no." Being "right" doesn't work like that.

Well, its that level of interaction, or I can just not answer comments; I think it is better to say something.
I'm not there to hold hands either.

this site currently can't take off as a contender in the online magic community. the people who "own" it have no interest or initiative in making money off it or being involved with mtg at all. it's also on not great forum software and offers nothing but a forum to visitors. you won't beat salvation on the forum front. it ain't gonna happen. so you have to go bigger than a forum, but nobody here wants to make a real site and i don't know how.
so what's to do? well, you should brainstorm some real ideas to offer the magic community, not forum articles, and when you have an idea try buying the site from khadaffi.

it's hard to make a magic site with people who don't want to make a magic site
we have relevant faces in different areas of magic, good players, a CFB connection, a humorous R-rated mindset and are on the list to get a new card spoiler as soon as we have an actual site
work with that

Look mate, I am with you, I would love for the site to be more than it currently is.
We've discussed some inhouse tournaments, maybe we can make those into a video / article series that we slow release to the public to try and gather interest? Get a podcast recap of the matches / decks / ideas by you and me or something?
I'd love to keep promoting DTR with site only content, but CFB keeps increasing the frequency with which they want me to post, and I only have so much time. Paid work is always going to be a priority over unpaid; especially now that I have the opportunity to test with the best players in the country in person; so I am not grinding as much.

I get it. I just think you should let your opinions be more flexible. Just because you schooled MTGS that Vexing Devil is shit for the 2 years it was Standars legal doesn't mean you have to keep on trying to prove it. It's over, let it go. Rest easy big daddy, nobody is gonna hurt you.Well, its that level of interaction, or I can just not answer comments; I think it is better to say something.

This would be good, even if they post here just for the luls and not about MTGFuck it, i'll ask the CFB players if they might be interested in joining in.
