Re. page 39, aggro decks can't just tank all day and hope the other guy doesn't have it. I lost to the UW player yesterday because I went for the win on 4 consecutive turns (Stormbreath, Exava, then 2 Rakdos's Returns) but he had 3 Dissolves and a Syncopate.

Pedros:

Yes, Lazerburn lent me a handful of cards so I could play in Standard 8-mans when the Modern queues weren't firing. It plays a lot like the Rb deck from last Standard season, so I'm better at playing it than Z's burn deck, which I pilot clumsily.

I added more to my Modern deck. It's not capable of winning a game but there are lots of style points to be awarded.

I had my daughter (15months) press the killing boros charm to a jund monsters deck last night. She got pretty excited. Hopefully she'll be better than me at magic and I'll just be able to ride her coat-tails to phat lewtz.

Your feelings are validated, good sir. Yes I explained to her that they are the enemy. She proceeded to slam on the keyboard a number of times, which to the best of my knowledge is the only appropriate response. If anyone is interested in seeing pics of her feel free to add me on FB, Jonathan Rivera.

This is a strange double bind, because you're implicating anyone requesting friendship on Facebook as a creepy pederast who only wants to see your daughter.

@Ham: Has Standard been serving you better then Modern in terms of farming? Have you've tried Rb Devotion Eric/Perdos List (its not for me, but I've seen it go to town)? Its most likely better suited at wielding RR then the 25 fair Rb variant (it also happen to be the best Aggro/Combo deck in standard right now with random T3 wins).

If you don't like Devotion check out the RB thread, I'll update alittle sometime today or tomorrow when I comeback from my horrible wiring project.... (grumble... grumble RL...)

Modern farming is hard, especially right now with people having been testing the PT/GP stuff as well as the MOCS.

I've won 1 QP with my Modern deck and 1 with the Rb deck from the Standard thread. I tweaked it a bit to incorporate Rakdos's Return.

I got hosed this weekend with the events on Saturday going down.

We all know that my daughter is much more adorable than I am. She's how I buy friends. They enjoy her company far more than mine, and by the time they realize I'm really not that great to be around, they are already hooked because my daughter is so damn adorable. Win/Win for me.

I should check and see how often Legacy events fire. It is my strongest format and might help me break out of this slump.

Definitely. I prefer to do it this way so I don't just fall on my ass in the prelims. It's certainly more expensive though.

A shame. I suppose I can always queue up when I get home from work and see how it goes. I should only need one good event to break me out of this.

It's seems to just go from ~50 up to ~80 and then back down. I'm starting to feel like I could just buy them low and sell them high over and over. I did it once but I could have done it 3 times in the last few months if I had pulled the trigger.

Assuming 4 copies, that would have been ~240 tix. Screw grinding for an LED :D
