Also, Tom Ross wins the invitational by donkey stomping people with 17 land Boss Sligh.
While it is exciting to play those kind of decks, I just can't stomach it. Far too high variance for my taste.
I don't think that deck falls victim to "variance"

@MDU

Check out this video I made back in college, there is a logo animation at the end. I could work on doing something similar/improved for a DtR video intro.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4JEpBCyOqs

I will need the .AI file(adobe illustrator) of the logo if anyone has it (maybe NBW)?

It has a lot lower variance than you think having access to 20 one drop creatures and an aura that cantrips. Any hand with two Mountains is like a BTE hand without actually playing BTE, so one could argue that it is in fact more consistent than those types of decks.

I have not played a game of Magic since the January prerelease. Just not that excited by it right now.

Oh, and hi to everyone. :)

Hello there, sir.

Such is life. I went a couple of months without playing but since have played in 3 FNMs over a three-month period and one win-a-box. I just can't get out as much as the others. Even MODO is hard to get on since I'm so tired by 9:00 PM that I'm ready to fall in bed.

Life happens. I've been working 10 hour days lately. When I get home on Friday, I'm done. Have a beer, watch the Giants game, spend some time with the fam. Not much time for Magic after that. I did get to take my son to the Journey Into Nyx prerelease. We had a great time.

4096 block? Easy.

8192 block? MOTHER FUCKING DONE.

Top score is now 102884.

I have a screenshot. I am uninstalling it.

Fucking done.

And to hell with you, Stardust. You are not getting me back into it ever again.

But if I open a 1 or 3+ land hand I lose. If I mulligan I lose. I just can't deal with decks with land count that low.

As mentioned earlier in the week, I will be doing a featured playtesting session with Team Sneak and Show (www.sneakandshow.com). The matchup will be:
James Fazzolari playing Yasooka Burn (Team Channel Fireball) vs.
Julian To playing Esper Control (Team Sneak and Show)
There will be accompanying commentary from some of Australia's best players.
You can watch here: www.twitch.tv/sneakandshow
We will be broadcasting at 7pm EST / 5am EDt / 2am PDT
Video will be archived to watch afterwards of course. Sorry about the time zone issues, but you know, I live on the other side of the world to most of you. =/

The BW rats deck is very strong. I have been helping a friend tune and tweak a list for the PTQ this sunday. Someone came in 15th place at a 300 person Japanese PTQ recently.

TWoo's version is crap.

Holy shit Wescoes deck has ambitious mana. 24 land deck with liliana and tidehowller that's playing 6 colorless lands.

I don't think that's necessarily bad, I think it's awesome! There's definitely a lot of power in that manabase and sometimes you draw uroborg which makes everything better.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

You might want to see this first:

http://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/the- ... rn-edition

This is a link to Immapwner thread, where he describes his deck's evolution. I think it is better than just seeing Wescoes 1 tournament heavy changes description.

As for manabase Urborg changes noncolored lands into swamps.

Thanks for the link, I'll read through it when I get the chance :)

@Sasky: Could you post the list later (maybe after the PTQ)?
