He did work for me all day. Nothing quite like a turn 3 Thundering Giant or a turn 4 Doom Engine to make your opponent nervous.Generator servant is a pretty unfair card when com bones with any reasonable 5+ drops, especially if you have any other action going on.
My final game of the day my board state was:
2 [cards]Thundering Giant
Siege Dragon
Scuttling Doom Engine[/cards]
All things considered, it was a very fun prerelease.

In a pinch, Khaos' beard can help turn this around.

Green seems face ne to me? It has a lot of fine commons and with creatures being so small, the 2/3 convoke guy that makes countsrs actually seems like a premium spell.
Red seems way better then everything though.

Yes it is. I have to fly hours for all interstate events. Again, lucky I am infinite.Same. Canada has three, but only one in my area. The next closest is 4+ hours of driving away. Farthest would require a flight or several days of non-stop driving.GPT's are mostly a waste of time.
I only play them when I have nothing else going on, I REALLY want to play magic, or I need practice.
Also, Jelly that you get to attend multiple WMCQ. America too big.
Isn't Australia most of the size of America though?

Did another release event today, this time going Red green/blue. I was gruul for the first couple rounds, then went izzet for the final three to test Jace which I feel comfortable saying is mostly horrible in limited. It's basically a worse version of Thassa which is similarly terrible in limited.

On this day many moons ago, the ground opened up and from its maw, 2 furry demonic hands burst forth cradling a young infant. Legend says this baby would grow up to Kait, but the real question is: was he kicked out of Hell or was he merely set loose here?

I went red for the prerelease. My pool was very good and I could have actually gone mono red but decided to splash black for Ulcerate, Nightfire Giant, three Accursed Spirit, and a Stab Wound. Ended up 3-1 with my losses in my match loss (third round) being due to land screw in game one and mull to five in game three. I was lucky enough to pull the Soul of Shandalar in my seeded pack, and Hoarding Dragon and Goblin Rabblemaster in two of my boosters. With two Generator Servants in my pool I was able to do some busted things with my three 5+ drops which was tons of fun. Got second place which was good for eight boosters (I went to a small store and we had 10 at our prerelease).

I had fun with blue in my prereleases, I had 4 Encrusts, 4 Frost Lynx, 2 [card]Tyrant's Machine[/card]s, and 2 Amphin Pathmage. Since it was 2HG, the Amphin Pathmages kind of got my partner a reservation in Valuetown.

I know. I'm enjoying it.What's fucked up is a bunch of Red Mages wondering if and why Blue got shafted in this set. Just go with it!
Yeah, blue is much better in limited. I got matched up against an opponent playing U/B at my prerelease and I lost 0-2. It was disgusting.I had fun with blue in my prereleases, I had 4 Encrusts, 4 Frost Lynx, 2 Tyrant's Machines, and 2 Amphin Pathmage. Don't remember if I mentioned this or not, but I went 4-1 last night, good enough for first place.
Traded for a foil Soul of Shandalar and I have 2 jaces, a Lily, a bunch of duals, and double rabblemaster among my booty.
I also stuck around to watch some 2HG and my friends finished 3/4th with a pretty decent pool that included mono-red goblins with obelisk of urd and the red paragon, either of which makes goblin kaboomist immortal when challenged by his own mines. The support deck was UB control with double garruks wake which I don't think was particularly good(the first is barely playable imo) but they got 6 packs each which was nice.
Sickest thing I saw was Banisher priest sliver and the sliver legendary land in one deck and Hornet queen being bounced every turn in another deck.

Split top 4 out of 20 people. Chose red and pulled Burning Anger and Chandra
I had to choose between playing U/R or R/G . Blue had sick rares (Jalira, Leviathan, the one that puts all attacking creatures on top or bottom of library), but green had overall better 2-3 drops as well as three 5/5 tramplers with convoke and 2 ancient silverbacks. In the end i played gruul and it worked, i transformed the deck into izzet against a token strategy in game 3 and blew him out destroying all his attacking tokens.
Burning anger on 5/5 wurms is tasty. Chandra is insane, especially when combined with ping effects like forge devil or shock effects like inferno fist to kill bigger creatures. Also had 1 cone of flame wich is overpowered.

Said opponent also had four Inferno Fist in his deck but I still managed to win the match. Goblin Roughrider into Goblin Roughrider into Accursed Spirit too stronk.

Pretty sure pillar of light is unplayable trash game 1. It's good against exactly BG decks(in the late game) and as a sideboard card against opponents with souls.
This format seems super aggressive and when I finally got to play a red deck, I was VERY impressed by the quality of the 2 and 3 drops. The fact that lots of them trade up is a pretty big deal when you're the aggressor and most guys having 3 power makes it fairly trivial to wait a couple turns for an alpha strike and/or chump attack+plus quality red removal to kill big shit setting up future alphas.

It seems to me that red is just way better than any other color in m15. Besides having stupid good 2-3 drops (generator servant, borderland marauder, goblin roughrider, even krenko's oppressor is decent) it has a massive amount of good removal (lightning strike, inferno fist, heat ray, cone of flames, stoke the flames) while black just has a 5 mana removal and ulcerate (which is very good but probably worse than lightning strike) and white has pillar of light (super conditional) and the uncommon divine verdict with convoke that is decent. I'm happy i can force red in drafts.... last core set i had to force blue and i felt somewhat guilty ![:-) :)](./images/smilies/smile.gif)
