@Kimbra: The problem with Grim is that he is really hit or miss (same with Vexing Devil) - excellent vs creature based decks horrible vs removal heavy or combo decks.
@Lazer: I have the match recorded but not the comment - with v4 I find it difficult to know when people are chatting with me while I'm in-game (its like that GW Token MU I uploaded where I only notice he was raging RIGHT at the end (which maybe why he kept on ragging)).

(1) 8x 3cc on 20 lands is about the most you can get away with. With that said, Magma Jet is a fine card and when I was running it, I was actually using it to send excess lands away.I like it - I shall give it a shot todayWon a 8-Man tourney beating Living End, Junk, and Naya Kiki-Jiki - Restoration Angel /Scapeshift. I dunno what to fucking call that last deck..
[deck]
Creatures 12
4 Goblin Guide
4 Vexing Devil
4 Eidolon of the Great Revel
Burn 28
2 Forked Bolt
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Rift bolt
4 Lava Spike
4 Searing Blaze
4 Skullcrack
2 Flames of the Blood Hand
4 Molten Rain
Land 20
4 Arid Mesa
16 Mountain
Sideboard
2 Cryoclasm
2 Peak Eruption
3 Relic of Progenitus
4 Searing Blood
4 Smash to Smithereens
[/deck]
(1) Though I want to run 2 Magma Jet because running 8x 3cc LD spells makes me uncomfortable with only 20 lands.
(2) EDIT: You know that feeling you get when you beat Soul Sisters with 2x Searing blood and Searing Blaze, and he PM you with rage post match? Priceless
(3) EDIT2: Why doesn't Boil see play?
(2) FUCK. YES! You da man, sir!
(3) 2 reasons: It costs 4 and it doesn't deal damage.

I think running 8 creatures seems solid, I'm going to try running 3x Shard Volley and 1x MJ in its place (each time I draw MJ and lose due to 1 life I'll mark it down ).
P.S. My grinder buddies tell me playing Modern SE with burn is a death trap since so much **** flies down there which would never make G3-4 in a DE, but after reading your reports Khaos - I don't thinks its all that bad anything more so thanks for clearing that up

I lost to a Rbw deck the other day. He had the triple guide opener on the play and then in game 2 he landed 2 spellskites on me. What's a guy to do?

MonoR with Dragon Claw would turn the MU into a cakewalk - I'm not sure about Khaos but me losing that MU (with the LD list) was because I was bad rather then the deck itself - if you watch the video when I upload it next week you'll most likely end up screaming at the screen at my horrible choices.

Agreed on using Dragon's Claw. I'm tempted to switch out the Relics for it, but I have been encountering a lot of GY based combo decks - Krark Clan Ironworks, Living End, Goryo's Vengeance, Storm, etc. Plus, I really value the Relic in the Pod and Rock matches. I think I'll just take my chances with the mirror and just do my best to outplay my opponent, plus I know that the Rbw Burn decks hurt themselves a lot with their manabase, which makes my job a little bit easier.

Reason not to play thunderous wrath : we want to end the game by turn 4-6 , so we almost never draw more cards than we have in our opening hand. Since Thunderous Wrath is a card you don't want to have in the opener and you want to draw later, it is more likely that it will be there clunking your starter 7 than you will find it in the next 4-5 cards you draw.

I tried playing curry the other day, its quite good but I hate that feeling of only having 1 route (race).
I still love Levy's LD list and Hock's Burn list the most, not sure which one I believe is better though.

That said the Refraction Trap and Lingering Souls are really sick - I think the deck NEEDS 4x Bridge so you have some hope vs aggro and midrange - no idea how curryvore does it.That curry list...yeah, I'm not a fan either.

I keep losing in 8-Mans to G/R Tron and Scapeshift with Levy's LD list. You'd think those decks would be extremely favorable for me, but Tron keeps playing Karn and Wurmcoils on me T3/T4 and I seem to have the worst draws against Scapeshift - once they're able to cast Cryptic, I seem to hit the floods....
Anyway, trying something a little different right now. One thing that's been bothering me is that Molten Rain is a sorcery and I think I want to be in a position where almost everything I can cast is an instant. Just slapped this together:
[deck]
Creatures 12
4 Goblin Guide
4 Vexing Devil
4 Eidolon of the Great Revel
Burn 28
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Rift bolt
4 Lava Spike
4 Searing Blaze

2 Combust
3 Smash to Smithereens
[/deck]

I just entered an 8-Man and played against what I'm assuming is a Hocking Burn list. The guy rage quit in Game 2 when I landed a Dragon's Claw and I had Searing cards for days.

I mention this before but Levy list is weak vs Combo (esp. U Combo), it thrive against fair decks but vs unfair list they usually only need to hit T3-4 to win so holding the counter for LD isn't difficult.I keep losing in 8-Mans to G/R Tron and Scapeshift with Levy's LD list. I'm thinking about going back to Rg because Burn is currently sitting on 2nd as the the deck with the most finishes online .

I havn't been playing much modern as of late - but no I havn't seen them much since tron earn the name GP Fail all those months ago.MDU, are you seeing a lot of Tron in your events?
Your biggest threat is Wurm, so just pack some smash and kill them during the attack step it should buy you enough time to finish the job (this MU is much harder for RDW since the Wurm is just a wall and a half).

I queued up for a Modern SE and accidentally entered with my standard burn deck - I ended up going 1-1 playing against Junk twice (I lost because I failed to draw lands).
Anyhow - perhaps a port could work out, we could play Shrine and Chandra Phoenix for CA while we focus on wearing away on them slowly with cards like Lighting Helix, Searing Blaze/Blood, Fork bolt, Lighting Bolt. Rift Bolt and so on.

Pffft, I love signing up for a Daily and having to play Hexproof Round 1. A 6/6 lifelinker ended me Game 1. In Game 2, I kept a hand with 3 Skullcracks. He played a Leyline. Auto-concede.
