I am from Buffalo. Sportsball is simply an excuse to drink since there is no actual professional sports played here.

Yes, I know the Bills won today.

The Internet has long been a haven for circlejerking and subhuman freak circuses. However, with the rise of feel-good propaganda campaigns and rampant white guilt, various special snowflakes have begun to crawl out of the woodwork demanding their very own asspat. In a world where every blogger, facebook soapboaxer and overly opinionated suburban white person feels they can change the world with a tweet, a new phenomena has been born: the Social Justice Warrior. Social justice warriors are best described as a bunch of "activists" who sit around all day and bitch and moan about how everyone and everything is "racist/sexist/homophobic/transphobic/whorephobic/fatphobic/arachnophobic/bigoted/oppressive". They consider everyone who disagrees even in the
slightest to be a "white hetero-cis scum", even if the ones disagreeing with them are ethnic minorities, gays, bisexuals, etc. Pretty much 99% of the time, social justice warriors on Tumblr never get the fuck off their ass and actually do something, as they're too busy telling people to "check their privilege" while at the same time not noticing their own privilege as they're able to afford a computer or their own innate hypocrisy as they will inevitably rage against well-off white cisgendered people all the while having a significant amount of well-off white cisgendered people making up their numbers.

Card singlehandedly makes me want to consider mardu as a deck.
I know i want to play rabblemaster and brimaz in new standard. RtA and spear along with ajani, sarkhan, looks powerful.
All all need is playable 2 drop that have synergy with a deck.

Black gives mardu ascentancy, tymareth and sorin, along with removal.
Blue gives ephara, and negates, will have to see what ascendancy and charm will do.
Green gives xenagos, playable ascendancy and charm.

I feel like I will be playing 4 colors with all the fixing we have...

I'm still going with Abzan for now, but that could change if Mardu continues to reveal better cards and if Abzan's charm sucks, but it may be asking too much for a WGB charm at uncommon that has "destroy target non-land permanent." If that's not doable than maybe a Zealous Persecution as one of the nodes.

As long as the charm cycle continues to be good and this 3cmc multicolor creature cycle continues to show off playables Soldier of the Pantheon is going to be a strong start for a Boros, Orhzov, Mardu or Abzan strategy.

Mardu list:

[deck]

4 Soldier of the Pantheon
4 Foundry Street Denizen
4 Borderland Marauder
3 Generator Servant
4 Goblin Rabblemaster
3 Brimaz, King of Oreskos
1 Iroas, God of Victory

Spells
3 Sorin, Solemn Visitor
3 Mardu Ascendancy
2 Spear of Heliod
4 Stoke the Flames
2 Mardu Charm

Lands
4 Mana Confluence
2 Bloodstained Mire
3 Temple of Malice
1 Temple of Triumph
4 Battlefield Forge
3 Caves of Koilos
1 Swamp
2 Mountain
3 Plains
[/deck]

Turn 1 Denizen > Turn 2 Servant (swing for two) > Turn 3 Sack for Border and Rabble, potentially swing for 12.

I think Iroas becomes ridiculously good here and I might add an extra one.

I'm not sold on Generator Servant. I agree with you on Iroas. Feels like a sleeper right now that will find its place in a Mardu Horde deck.

It's a bit of a place holder that can lead to crazy plays. There's probably something better that can go there for sure.

Akroan Hoplite looks like it would be a good fit in a token-based strategy.

I like that it can be used to rip Anger of the Gods / Drown in Sorrow out of their hand, Kill a Courser or beat weenie decks with flash first strikers. Dat versatility.

I know you can't respond to lands entering the battlefield, but is there a way to let them play their land and then use the third mode if they have BB or RR before they cast anger / drown?

Not talking about responding to them tapping. I know the reason you can respond to landfall is because it's a triggered ability. Just trying to figure out if you can save your charm until you know if they have untapped RR or BB before they cast their sweeper.

Nope.
They put their lands in play without giving you priority.
If they do something else before sweeping (like, say, activating a planeswalker) I guess you can respond to that, though.

You are right abou him.

Him into rabblemaster is 4 damage on turn 3, and 10 on turn 4.
Similar with brimaz: 2 on turn 3, 7 on turn 4.

I don't sideboard many creatures because I don't care about burn (nobody really plays it anymore). Your four mana burn spells would be enough to beat my angels. I'm not relying on them very hard in the match.
