Could you post the list?

- - - - -

Woot here are my HORRIBLE BLIND videos (geez I make so many mistakes) please tell me if I got any of the deck names wrong or if you you believe my SB choices are outright wrong.

Legacy DE Report 7500270 Running pacoelflaco's list
G1 Legacy Burn vs Infect
G2 Legacy Burn vs UWr Delver
G3 Legacy Burn vs Elves
G4 Legacy Burn vs Pod

Note: I'm sorry about the white noise (humming) I
removed them from Wednesdays videos onward.

Question for you lot:
Vs blue do you cut Boardout or keep Fireblast

Mono Red Burn won a Modern Open, but as far as Legacy goes, there was a Burn deck that made top 8 in Indianapolis.

Note: I'm sorry about the white noise (humming) I removed them from Wednesdays videos onward, same as before please point out mistakes esp. with the boarding.

I'm starting to believe Pyroblast is good enough for Show and Tell so I'll most likely cut Ashen Rider for Ensnaring
Bridge since like Blak said earlier it has much wider applications.

Simply because I'd prefer other cards against them, and it sucks when Counterspell becomes Rain of Salt + Duress.

I thought so as well, but the 0cc nature of Blast seems quite powerful vs Control magic (though if it fails you generally can't recover T_T).

Questions:
How important is Sulfuric Vortex?
Is UWR Miracles a bad MU? I just lost against them fairly badly with my Double Searing Blaze hand G1 and my Triple Grim Hand G2 which they Terminus (I'm seeing the appeal of less creature approach now :P).

Miracles is a rough one. If they assemble counter-top we are usually just done right there. The saving grace is that the deck can be fairly clunky if they don't have a top early.

Edit - Blast is our finisher. We only throw it into the face of counterspells if we have no other choice. Patience does work with this deck, you know.

Darn... my guy went top turn 1 both games, when he landed Counterbalance it felt hopeless.

I imagine your version with the more top heavy spells like flame Rift and Sulfuric Vortex having a better time.

They help but the real trump is landing an Eidolon on 2. They run a lot of manipulation and counters and getting that on the board is a big help. Vortex is good simply because 3s are much harder for them to counter and we can easily play the longer game.

Depends on the version, the European ones with 4 Ponders are likely harder as they are more focused on assembling Counter-top, and are less reliant on Top to get going, the Flash builds tend to run fewer counterbalances (like 2 at times) and more Cliques/Venser/Karakas which don't do anything in the Burn MU.

Just don't bring in Ensnaring Bridge, the local burn guy does that and it makes me want to choke him.

I don't think you need the Shushers. Even against Miracles they can be weak since you have to spend the mana before they flip the card. I like a third Bridge and a third Red Blast in those spots.

Depending on how much you like Lavaman, maybe -1 GL and +1 Vortex. The rest looks rather solid.

I think your deck is so heavily preboarded for Delver and Elves so much that Searing Blood is unnecessary.

Have you found 10 fetches to be better than 8 or 6?

I might in the new version of my deck in an attempt to get it when they tap to draw a card with it. It is a corner case at best but better than Searing Blood.

I'm firm on 3 Lavamancers. I'd like to run 2 Vortex main, but I'm afraid I'd have to cut a Blaze at that point, and I'm loathe to do that especially after the results of last weeks SCG Open.

I used to run 12 at one point but that was when I ran 21 land. I want to make sure I can feed Grimmy and trigger landfall. 9-10 Mountains is the bare minimum you'll need for Fireblast, so I think I'm okay.

Really? I thought Shusher was an all-star in that matchup. He does do some nice work against Chalice decks too.

Shusher is indeed good against Chalice. I don't know how many you will see, however. You may be able to shave Searing Bloods in the side to make room for other hate.

I just want something well-rounded since I haven't played Legacy in about 4 months :/

The thing is, Florida has some of the best grinders in Modern and Legacy, pound for pound. SO not only do I have to prepare against good players and good decks, I also have to expect a bunch of garbage from the bad players. The board itself seems well-rounded for the most parts.

Also, don't forget, the side events are most likely going to be 8-mans for boxes and shit.

And so it is time to prepare and settle on a 75 for GP New Jersey. Treasure Cruise has shifted the format to being much more Delver friendly. I might even commit a blasphemy and run a version with fetch lands since Stifle appears to be at an all time low.

Version 1: Fetchless
[deck]Burn[/deck]

Version 2: Fetchful
[deck]Burn[/deck]

Other options include Forked Bolt to deal with the new Delver/Pyromancer menace and Satyr Firedancer to help with Elves and D&T (it showed up in the last Top16 list in the Open as a 2-of). I may want to increase the number of Searing effects as well. Another possible option is Pyroclasm/Volcanic Fallout as a sweeper.

I am not so sure. Keeping them off Delver or Pyromancer gets a lot easier with Lavaman. Our ability to play on our opponent's turn is also affected heavily if we start running Swiftspear (although I do admit wanting to try hard to replace GG with them to stop my opponent from drawing lands.

I haven't played Legacy, but would splashing blue for be Cruise feasible in this deck? Of course, this means we can't use Lavamancer.

You want lavamancers somewhere, that card is huge against any small creature strategy in addition to winning you the game against elves

The local burn player played swift spear and liked him, although I think he replaces flame rift not gg

GG drawback has never mattered in this deck and still doesn't, a large (and growing) portion of the format plays few (if any) non basics and people know what price of progress does, forcing them to either commit to the board (and risk dying to pop) or not playing there lands and dying due to being unable to execute its strategy
