I went 2-1, losing in the finals to a really good Twin deck that combo'd off on me both games. Never got to cast Ajani though. :(

Looking for some feedback on UW Heroic for the weekend; there was about 35% of the fiend on RG Aggro last weekend and it was 50% of the top 8, so I'm making some small changes to gain a few percentage.

[deck]
Creatures
4 Battlewise Hoplite
4 Favored Hoplite
4 Heliod's Pilgrim
4 Hero of Iroas
3 Seeker of the Way

Non-creature Spells
1 Ajani's Presence
1 Aqueous Form
4 Defiant Strike
1 Feat of Resistance
4 Gods Willing
2 Ordeal of Heliod
4 Ordeal of Thassa
1 Stratus Walk
1 Stubbirn Denial

Lands
4 Flooded Strand
2 Island
2 Mana Confluence
8 Plains
4 Temple of Enlightenment
2 Tranquil Cove

Sideboard
1 Ajani's Presence
2 Brimaz, King of Oreskos
1 Erase
3 Glare of Heresy
1 Mortal Obstinacy
1 Ordeal of Heliod
3 Stubborn Denial
2 Treasure Cruise
1 Triton Tactics
[/deck]

Changes;

MAIN: -1 Stratus Walk, +1 Ordeal of Heliod
SB: -1 Glare of Heresy, +1 Triton Tactics

Explanation;

Format has sped up. Evasion goes down in value when your opponent won't present blockers, lifegain goes up in value. Triton Tactics is very high impact in a race (smash you, then eat two attackers).

SB Plan;

OUT: -1 Feat of Resistance, -1 Stubborn Denial
IN: +1 Ordeal of Heliod, +1 Triton Tactics

Feedback welcome.

In other news, I managed to get fired from my job and rehired in less than 24 hours. However, I had to go to another department. It's easier work and less stress now, but I hardly get time to bullshit on my phone.
WTF happened there?
He was called into his boss's office and noticed a picture on the desk. "I didn't know you played Magic, sir, but that is some fine fan art of Siege Rhino," he said, enthusiastically.

"That's my wife!" his boss fumed.
That's exactly what happened.

Likely not. They like reprinting random powerful cards like that to make Standard feel different, but they'll move on to other random powerful cards for a while. I'd never expect Mutavault to become a staple card in Standard, so my bet would be at least 5 years or so before it returns in a core set.

I approve those changes in U/W heroic if you feel you'll be playing a lot against aggro decks. It could also be the time to give singing bell strike a chance again, i like the fact that you can search it unlike triton tactics.. And i wonder if you decided that valorous stance is just not good enough.... it does seem ok when you are facing polukranos, and i would probably just swap the 2 ajani's presence for 2 valorous stances.

Ignoring the fact that mono red is one of the strongest decks in the cube, especially since it's usually open. Twin is probably better, since it plays blue cards, but mono red wrecks shop in this iteration of legacy cube.

... I don't play mtgo, but I've been watching a lot of cube vids since they're so fun. I almost never watch magic videos, and I've been catching every cube one that cfb put up in the last 5 weeks.

Did valorous stance suck or is this post a victim of casual copypaste?

Took Valorous Stance out because it's so bad against RG, medium vs Whip and obv gas vs Abzan which no one was playing last weekend. Just an adaptation to local meta.
