I'm just going to wait and see the rest of m14 gives us before i start any brewing, but I like what I see from m14 so far. Definitely going to pick up the good red stuff from there before they blow up hell rider style.
Also did a three way split on a Russian box of DGM (friend with a silver tongue managed to get it from a dealer for. $110) and opened a foil Real Zarek (even funnier, he was in the same pack as an Emmara Tandris lol). /brag

A Mexican, a black guy, and a Jew walk into a bar.
The bartender says "Get the fuck out."

redthirst is redthirst, fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse. He was the leader of the Fires of Salvation, the only clan I'm aware of to get modded off the forums so hard they made their own forums.
Degenerate? Sure. Loudmouth? You bet. Law abiding? No ****ing way.
Great guy to have around? Hell yes.
I love the D...

That feeling when you take an extended lunch break for a daily event and go 2-2, losing your final match 2-1 to a deck you are favored against...

No, I lost to a topdecked Unflinching Courage on a Valroz in my second match and a topdecked Legion Loyalist in my fourth match after already killing two of them. Pretty frustrating but I guess that's Magic.Did you lose to a topdeck Thundermaw? I know that feel, bro.
FYI this was RTR Block Constructed.

I was ready to trade a playset of Aether Vial AND a Thoughtseize for just one JtMS last FNM. Dude still didn't take it. People around here are too stingy with their Legacy staples.

To be fair, after playing with JtMS a few times in legacy, it's impossible to stop. The card does actual everything.

played in a friend's cube over the week-end, p1p1 was JtMS.
Then I passed a Sol Ring which was oops I guess?
Then I got an Umezawa Jitte in the next pack.
I won the thing, but played for fun against the other UWb player... he used cataclysm and a bunch of legacy horseshit,.,,,, capsize that was it.
He won on 4 life while he decked me.

Played some Legacy in an FNM style event yesterday beating MUD and losing to merfolk and miracles. I blame my extremely limited playtime with Legacy for my losses (though miracles is a near-impossible matchup). I played B/W/g Stoneblade.
Also, more standard brewing! I might actually play this one for the coming GPT on Sunday (kinda lost steam playing tier 1 decks after the WMCQs).

Speaking of
cube, got a 8-man draft organized tonight for drafting my cube. It's gonna be awesome.

I had a friend who played something like that, except I think he had Garruk, Primal Hunter in there someplace. I remember it folding pretty bad to anything more control-oriented. I'd maybe keep that in mind?Played some Legacy in an FNM style event yesterday beating MUD and losing to merfolk and miracles. I don't get mad, but I do get snarky;
"Is it cold I'm magical christmasland?"
"What do you get the guy who has it all?"
"Better lucky than good right?"
Yeah, I'm that guy.

In a meta where decks are playing as little as 3 basics? Incredibly powerful.Burning Earth should have been 3CMC at most. Not sure how effective it will be at 4CMC.
This card by itself makes me wonder how strong Grixis is going to be. Playing removal.dec with this in the shell makes it incredibly hard for your opponent to...well, do anything. It's like all of the good things about Manabarbs without any of the bad things.

I forgot to mention that I wanted it at 3CMC so low curve aggro has easier access to it. Grixis is definitely going to have aIn a meta where decks are playing as little as 3 basics? Incredibly powerful.Burning Earth should have been 3CMC at most. Not sure how effective it will be at 4CMC.
