Though I suppose, from their perspective, we're just a horde of cardboard Nazis who find joy in turning shit sideways and arguing about stack mechanics. Well, fuck.

All of a sudden, the clan started speaking in strange tongues I couldn't comprehend.

Seriously, though. I fail to see the fun of 40k, at least from the outside perspective. There's a couple of guys who play in the corner of my LGS every Friday(provided there's room) and it seems like all it is is a lot of tape measures, kneeling to look at the table from different points of view, and shouting at everyone else about how what someone did didn't work blah blah blah. They're obnoxious.
Sounds like the Magic players at my old LGS.

I was about to say: I bet
Magic looks like a shit-ton of fun from an outsider's perspective.

In my experience, the older Pokemon and Yu Gi Oh players are the most obnoxious though. I've wanted to murder a few Yu Gi Oh players.

I love the neckbeards at Toys r Us. I'm just there tryin' to get my son a toy and they're scoping out all the figs tryin' to get the limited editions. Or they've already bribed the employees and come out with a case full of the latest Marvel or DC figs.

My LGS generally smells like Axe body spray, cigarettes, and Little Caesar's pizza. I know at least three people who actually carry body spray in their deck bags, so, at least they're trying.

I'm starting to wonder, though, if hideous odor is possibly an ingenious tactic to break your opponent's concentration.

Christ. When I enter the tournament area of my LGS, it's like parting a curtain of BO. If I've been at work and sweating all day, I'll hit the shower before I go. I don't understand why that is so difficult for some people. Not only does it make you smell better, but you generally feel better after a shower.

My LGS never smells bad, but recently meals where banned as people keep leaving half-eaten fatburgers all over the place.

ALso, when is everyone arriving in Vegas? I'm probably leaving tomorrow morning at 6am and should be arriving between 10/1130.

I also should be pretty easy to spot as I'll be like, the one skinny black guy wearing a button down pink shirt(swag).
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

Well, we don't really have a problem with hygiene at my LGS - the regulars have enough self respect to make sure they don't smell like burning garbage and the few visitors that show up and do stink either get their shit together real quick or simply don't come back after someone tells them they need to take a fucking shower.

I have never been to a large M:tG tournament, though, where I was not overwhelmed by a rolling wave of funk at least once...

Have fun at Vegas guys! Wish I could join you, but it's on the other side of the globe and all that. I'm going to Denmark on Saturday with the family though, so that's nice. Will be fun visiting Legoland, we will probably buy too much Lego stuff, since we are all kind of nuts about Lego...

American regulations on Scotch are almost as loose as an
orifice bludgeoned by our rogue leader's member. Rye sneaks in quite often.

:eyebrow:

Ok, so to be able to be called a Scotch the whisky has to be made in Scotland and it has an age restriction as well. Then there's different types:

Single Malt: Made from malted barley, from a single distillery, like Laphroaig, Ardbeg, Oban, and so on.
Vatted Malt: Mix of whiskies from various distillerie but still made from malted barley.
Blended: Mix of malt whiskies and various grain whiskies. Brands like Johnnie Walker, Chivas Regal, Famous Grouse, stuff like that.

I'm talking about the first type only. There might be rye in
blended Scotch, but not in single malts.

I finally saw Star Trek:

Into the Darkness of the Wrath of Khan. I felt like I was watching the second Star Trek movie all over again. Ok, guys, we get it. You like the first set of movies, but at least try to tell an original story for the next one.
I wasn't that impressed with it. It needed more. I felt like it was half a movie.

Also no copy/paste on my phone so there's that. PS: Lots of people playing EDH in random restaurants here in Vegas. It's like living in a commune full of Magic players.
