And now for something completely different: anyone here do any airbrushing? Specifically small models/miniatures.
From previous reports, I have a hard time believing that you'd be interested in anything miniature.
It's how I try and compensate for having to lug around my junk all the time.

At 1:64 scale it would still be enough to crush your average domestic refrigerator.

Fact, while I'm outside talking to Fate and Nuwen at GP vegas, some guy walks up, asks us what's going on in there(the GP hall), then tells Nuwen she should take her clothes off. We didn't really know how to react.

The correct way would have been "with violence".

I mean, not setting that guy on fire was irresponsible - unless you didn't have a flask of gasoline and a box of matches on you at the time, in which case all three of you have larger issues that we need to discuss.

Does having a flask of 100 proof whisky count? They're both an accelerant in
most circumstances.

And they both taste about the same.

Theros could be an artifact-heavy block. Myths typically feature sets of legendary weaponry, armor, and equipment, which would make Darksteel Forge relevant.

so random gear change:

I watched Full metal in bits and pieces during the toonami years, so now when re-watching good animes with Nuwen: Watch the original or what is this fancy FMA: Brotherhood all about? I vaguely remember brotherhood just being a "condensed" version like DBZ redux

Differences? Preferences?

it's pretty much the same show but sort of different plot points its not bad. alphonse has a stronger involvement with the military and the end seemss to pan out differently, if your into fma i'd recommend watching it.

Brotherhood has better art, a slightly different story scheme and seems more adult oriented. That and greed's kind of a boss(the homunculi are different).

Also major armstrong's sister, general armstrong is aptly named the ice queen.

FWIW, I've seen like, 85% of brotherhood and really enjoyed it.

Having come from playing tempered steel to playing burn when Tsteel rotated to now playing dos rakis, I kinda get nostalgic about getting something like that back even if its some half breed mmonstrosity.

What events have the best EV for MTGO? I just played in an 8 man 'cause i was bored and missed the standard daily today somehow (the wizards site said it started at 6 est and went to got on it and it started at 5 wtf) and lost the second round. Got two packs and only had a net loss of one tix which isn't too bad, but far from optimal.

The dailies have the best EV, followed by release events.

You only need to cash 1 in 3 dailies to go infinite.

8-mans and 2-mans are only profitable if your win rate is 60%+ and if it is, you're even more incentivised to be playing DEs. I remember going 3-1 or 4-0 in nine consecutive events earlier this season, good times.

I'd like to see some decent artifact creatures return, especially Solemn Simulacrum. That card made the various Heartless lists run smoothly. Sadly, the name and number crunch look to rule the Sad Robot out of this core set.

I have brushes, but I'm no detailer. Stencil and shading work only to this point as I've not had the time to commit to learning freehand.

@Alex - The source for theSally thread you pointed to is someone known for "good" spoilers, but I agree with the head-scratching over Forge. There are other cards like that crazy dragon from RTR that point to Theros being very Artifact-heavy, but I agree that Forge doesn't make much sense as a core set card.

[deck]
4 Foundry Street Denizen
4 Goblin Chieftain
4 Goblin Guide
4 Goblin Wardriver
4 Legion Loyalist
3 Spikeshot Elder

4 Dragon Fodder
4 Goblin Grenade
4 Krenko's Command
3 Shared Animosity

22 Mountain[/deck]

If you have money to splash, consider Cavern of Souls or Mutavault replacing some number of Mountain (probably 3 tops).
Just a couple of questions (forgive my lateness, but I'm on vacation :D):
- aren't 22 mountains too many? - the only manasink I see is Spikeshot Elder.
- what about Mogg War Marshal insteal of Krenko's Command?
- no Dynacharge?
- no Goblin Bushwacker?

FMA: Brotherhood is the real storyline. The one based off the manga. Everything passed like, episode 15 is a completely different direction. Extreme amounts of recommendation from me. It is much better in my opinion.

Made the deck very quickly, I think all your suggestions are improvements.
- cut 4 token makers for MWM
- cut 4 Wardriver for 4 Bushwhacker

He was after a budget option; if you can, definitely want some Mutavault.

Fuck yeah, tomorrow is Friday. I know I am whiny enough as it is, but I will have worked 50+ hours this week by COB tomorrow, so I have earned it (not that it changes how I would behave anyway)
- Friday night drinks with the usual suspects than out for Spanish
- Saturday hanging out with wolf-girl for Monster's University and dinner
- Sunday playing an all-day legacy round robin proxy tournament at the LGS (feat. NO RUG)

1 more day.

This week good: We heard the baby's heartbeat yesterday, 171 beats per minute. It kept fading in and out, and the doctor explained that was happening because the little bean was moving around.

This week bad: My daughter and I are headed to court tomorrow for the criminal trial. It starts at 9am, but we have to be there between 8-8:15 am because the prosecuting attorney wants to speak with Beth before the trial. I am very much hoping for jail time for my ex wife since I know she thinks she did not do anything wrong. We need this to be over. The past few weeks have been somewhat nerve wracking with her out and about. Amazingly, she has not tried to contact Beth: no letters and no phone calls.
