I like the new dragon. Pro-white is so very relevant.

- Azorius Charm
- Detention Sphere
- Angel of Serenity
- Any other white exile effects

Too bad it dies to Mortars, but man do I love that dragon.

In Standard, you'd probably only use his 0 ability. Unless you already have a lot of creatures on the field and want to accelerate into another drop. If anything, Xenagos loves BTE.

You think that this card would be better than Garruk relentless in a jund (Which isnt even getting played). Is the ramp ability or the haste just that good?

Well a 2/2 haste is better than a 2/2; so that's a substantial upgrade right there. The ramp might be useful, maybe not.

I do think the free 2/2 haste every turn is very pushed though.

I know we've yet to see what all is coming, but my bet is that green's mythic will be a big, stompy monster. And, if the past two blocks are predictive, red should get an X-damage spell. My bet is that--good or not--people are going to try using Xenagos to potentiate a Hydra deck. There have to be other mana sinks available for it to even have a real chance, but I've already seen enough side-discussion in various articles about the potential of the hydras to guess it will be tried.

And on a totally non-Magical note, some comic relief:

4cmc Garruk was also used to put pressure on control and his wolves sure as fuck werent hasty.

I think Ruric Thar, and big clan defiances are worthing ramping into? Hell ramp into a big Garruk for MAXIMUM GRUUL SUPERFRIENDS (but not really)

While Domri seems to fit Midrange decks a bit more (high quality creatures that can fight, shitload of good creatures to get drawn), Xanagos looks fine for aggros that want to
a) have non-creature threat
b) have access to mana sinks
Clan Defiance, Pyrewild Shaman (post-combat... that might suck), Ruric Thar as big guy. I can agree with that.

Or hell ramp into new hellkite being monstrous a lot earlier than he could be.

or polukranos killing a 3/3 instead of a 2/2

Or hell ramp into EMBER SWALLOERS monstrous for early land denial? or that seems counterintuitive to a ramp deck <_<

so many

so many possibilities

so much excitement.

I thought it was draw 2, scry 2 for some reason, which is debatably better going long at least.

Still, I really just want access to discard and terrors in the board to beat up on control and midrange, since I think most aggro would be a walk for midrangey red.

Guize. Female friend wants to meet up and do unmentionable things to me in the near future.

I feel like there's some sort of moral highground decision thing here.

So, should I go for it? Yes or yes?

Good answer.

Like, you still legally being married? Moral high ground?

The way I see it, if you don't feel like youre married, you arent. It's just a piece of paper, and the soon to be EX threw it in the trash.

Go for it!

You need to have some kind of shit on paper/video/photo. When she'll show any kind of evidence about you cheating on her, while you will scream about a guy she currently lives with... you know how it's gonna look. I don't want to be an ass or something, it's just... better be safe Kazebro.

Rebound sex is better with someone you'll never see again. You'll sleep better afterwards. Plus, picking a chick up from a crowd is the right kind of rush that'll make you feel good about yourself and do away with frustration.

Jumping your nuts post-break is a weird reaction from a mutual friend, especially if she wasn't subtle about it but usually is. "I'm here for you" is the way it usually goes. But maybe her personality is frank.

Boobs are compelling, but that sounds like a serious trap. I'm sorry you're in this situation. :(

Tell her you're in a bad place psychologically right now, decline. You can pick it up again down the road if she's genuine and avoid a massive headache otherwise. If you never hear from her again, at least you'll have your answer.

There is no ammo situation here for her...she told Kaze it was over and was obviously with the other guy already. It's also a question of state law; Missouri, for example, is a "no fault" state, as is Michigan. This means that things like adultery are irrelevant with regards to determining allotment of assets and debts. Without kids involved and no history of abuse, there really is nothing for either party to use to try to skew the division of property.

That being said...watch your six, Kaze.

With legality not an issue, I suppose it's just a matter of whether it'll help or hinder my recovery. I must admit, being raised in a Baptist/Catholic home, I've never had a casual encounter before.

I should sleep on it, for now.

She lives two hours away, and is more of an acquaintance than a friend. Today is the first time she ever spoke to me directly and privately. She's no stranger, but she's no next-door neighbor, either.

And regarding personality, Nuwen, I can neither confirm nor deny that picking up friend's exs is her usual modus operandi, but she did just recently leave her long-partner, too. So, there's that rebound aspect again.

In terms of recovery, I agree with Nuwen. Hunting your own prey is far better than accepting someone's offer.
Whole situation still sounds sketchy. Maybe not from legal standpoint anymore if that's clear - but you know, not every chick does things like that.
She sounds a bit desperate. It's not about you being or not being worth her interest - but the way how she expresses that.
If girl you don't know well approaches you with "Hey, fuck me" attitude and even sends you hot photos... that's weird. Especially if she's persistent at doing that.

Still, rebound fucks help a lot - but not sure how it will affect you. They worked pretty well for me as sort of ego-pump. What makes the whole difference is if either you just weren't into casual sex before OR you believe in whole "sex matters only with love involved" thing. If first one, it's gotta be allright. If second, you will feel really, really bad
about yourself after whole thing.

Whew...four quality red-based mythics spoiled already + Thoughtseize + new duals still to come...yeah, it will be budget decks for Standard for me for the time being, and Modern. At least the Hammer isn't to pricey yet. Happy about the Rx cards, not happy about the cost of upcoming Standard.

Don't worry.
Red slowly starts to be considered as a part of colour pie.
We start to get Mythic Cards.
No more Utavara Hellkites to Blue's Jace, Architect of Thought.
Now we get Stormbreath Dragon and they get Medomai.
I believe things start to shape fair and square.
Wizards aren't afraid to print keywords on our cards. We finally get access to some Haste and X-Strike. Red was supposed to be colour of combat.

Of course, there will be bandwagonners.
People trying to squeeze in Purphoros into UWR Control.
Because Control is the only playable kind of deck.
That's why price tag is so high.
But soon they will just see how it doesn't work, and sell their cards to us.
"So... to play this guy I need to play a lot of creatures. And what's worse, Red creatures!".
And we'll show them how to use 1-sided Pandemonium with 6/5 indestructible creature and repetable +1/0 for the team.

I'm not that worried actually, since I've managed quite well without mythics in the current standard. And some cards are overvalued right now. It's more a question of finding that decent budget list. Currently, I'm not sure if it'll be straight R, RG, RB, or something else. Which makes it a bit hard to figure out what to pre-order.

An aggro deck topping out at three, maybe four, with Hammers, has potential I think. Probably RB based, because of the decent removals in black.

I'd say: Boros. All-In build.
Anax and Cymede cost 3 bucks each. They are great topper for All-In.
Boros Charm keeps your board alive. If some kind of mass exile effect will come up, Silence might get pretty handy.

[deck]Creatures (32):
4 Rakdos Cackler
4 Foundry Street Denizen
4 Legion Loyalist
4 ???
4 Burning-Tree Emissary
4 Firefist Striker
4 Gore-House Chainwalker
4 Anax and Cymede

Other Spells (8):
4 Dynacharge
4 Boros Charm

Lands (20):
4 Sacred Foundry
4 New Dual
12 Mountain[/deck]

T4: BTE + Firefist Striker + Anax and Cymede // Cards in Hand: Dynacharge and Boros Charm
Cast Dynacharge on Anax and Cymede. Whole team gets +1/+1 and Trample, additional +2/0 for Anax. If opponent tries to kill Anax, protect him with Boros Charm. If opponent doesn't try to kill Anax, give him double strike.

You are dealing 4 + 4 + 14 Damage. Hey, that's lethal. And don't worry about chumps - your team has
Trample.
And this fucko' can still block.

Here are a couple of Boros musings by Chapin from his latest article...I'm not saying that they are exactly where you want to be, but interesting in that they compare a more traditional sligh approach to a Battalion swarm approach. I don't know that Burning Earth will stay relevant given all the emphasis the new set brings to color devotion, but then we don't know a lot of things at this point...
