Postby conejo » Sat Aug 03, 2013 10:24 pm

Ive been having trouble with this matchup. Im playing Air Red now but also have Zs goodstuff laying around. Anyone know what UWR flash players board in/out for us? does it depend on which mono Red deck we are playing? I tried to find a primer for this particular version, but no luck.

Personally I would board out 2 Counterflux, and 4 Think Twice. I would bring in 2 Pillar, 2 DSphere, and 2 Ratchets. Syncopate could be boarded out for Negate in anticipation of Burning Earth. There are already enough Restoration Angels to flash block for value so that not bringing in the additional Verdict seems ok.

As the red deck, bringing in the Burning Earths would be the obvious step. Take out your Pillars and bring in Skullcracks if you have it in your board. Pyreheart Wolf looks attractive in this list since it ignores flashing shenanigans by the Angel. Mutavaults, if you're running it, are good post sweep but seems weaker against this deck that can block it without problems.
