I like that BL is a catch to any problem cards we could see g1... See Whip. I typically don't need to draw more than one chain in G1 of any matchup because I already feel favored. 2 -1 Split seems fine.My thoughts exactly re: chandra purp. I think dropping the BL for anothe Chain might be ok, but it has been pretty clutch at times.

I'd rather play a Mortars instead of the new threaten, but other than that, I'd sleeve up that deck in a heartbeat.Thpughts on the list posted above? Always trying to trim fat.

In a pinch, Khaos' beard can help turn this around.

Purp, L_D, how would you SB vs. BW Control with Blood Baron and Obzedat? I do miss a Reprisal and/or Mortars in your SBs...
EDIT: I also wonder if 2 Wear/Tear is a bit too much. Is it for Control? Mind you people still play Fiendslayer Paladin

So it looks like the hexproof matchup is moving away from unwinnable. Interesting.

No one likes 3 SFD 3 YP 3 EGR huh? I am actually on 2 Eidolons because I am still collecting them (4 YP).
I think I like 1 YP 3 EGR main, 3 SFD 2 YP side.
Getting the 2nd Eidolon down seems a little winmore.
Lighning Dolt, do you really play zero chains vs. control? I guess no one plays fiendslayer anymore (the fools)... although the occasionaly archangel is pretty bad too. I guess it's rare enough to wait for game 3.

You win game 1 something like 80% of the time, so even if they play FSP and they draw it and they win g2, you can always adjust your plan game 3. What's most likely to happen though is they play Nightveil spector and you just clean it up with shock and go about your business.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.
Beatdown is hard, though.

@ KS: i don't think you need mizzium with firedancer. Deicide would work if we were interested in killing gods, but we're better just ignoring them (unless they're an active Thassa). Wear is just better at 1 cc.
@ dauntless: haven't played bw in over a week, but you just have to go for the T6 kill. Wear // tear is applicable vs control and courser decks. Most control has moved away from FSP and started playing ram.
@billhc: just run MDU's SB. Alternatively, read over the last few pages for advice. You can also check out my article a few pages back for my list / sb guide.
@ Zenbit: yes, zero chains. Can't afford dead cards. The longer the game goes, the worst your chances are. You need to throw everything at their face until they are at about 6 mana then you play whatever you can at EoT with skullcrack up (or bluffing it).
If they have FSP, they have it. Play your skullcracks accordingly.
I recently
played a game where I beat 2x FSP with multiple skullcracks.

Ux Devotion and WB control which are non-existence the SCG or GPT circles make up 10% of our winning meta game online, so adjust accordingly since we can't all wear the same shoe

with the rise of W and B aggro (and NVS again.....) I can recommend Fotfb without feeling bad

@Dautless268: I just checked out goldfish, damn you've been on fire - your super secret Trooper tech is even been used by other random 4-0'ers and 3-1'ers.

With my old list i had glares in the side because i couldnt beat fiendslayer paladin. Now that they are playing ram i find myself boarding out chains since a critter plus a burn spell kills it. Also they only play it as a 2-3 of and i dont see them draw them all that often. Ive seen it across the board only a small percent if the games that i have played. I like wear tear but im thinking of going back to glares to deal with brimaz along with detention sphere. The number of times i have needed an instant speed enchantment removal has been low enough fir me to consider it. Im thinking of going up to three chandra because we do have three enchantment removal and we have enough agression to force a sphere on our dudes. Right now im running ligjtning dolts list and so far im doing really well with it. Im not really feeling the dragons usefulness against control since they have elspeths. I also feel like we need some extra
inevitability against mono black. I have beaten the deck more times than i have lost with it but i think their draws were not really all that stellar. Also i think junk and bw will manhandle us without her.

I share the same thoughts about Ux Devotion (people were actually shocked it did wellIDK why people don't play BW in paper. That deck is fire.

I havn't played in awhile but it seems like Green got hated out again (they didn't even last 2 weeks this time round), Small Aggro and BW Control are back while Esper/UW are still fighting for that No.1 control spot.
I wish I could just slam SBD in my 75 like L_S and Purp but dragons seem to have an adverse fear of doom blades.... so I'll stick with T//T as my preferred weapon against control.
@Online players: B Aggro and W aggro are still byes no? or with Master of the Feast and 2-4x Keening
Apparition gave them a real fighting chance?

Heres a Stacity premium article with MJ(Michael Jacob) playing 4 rounds with Burn.
http://www.starcitygames.com/article/28 ... ndard.html
EotGR sucked balls for him and honestly was pretty shitty for me.
I love YP$ and think I will be going back to that.

Man, Monday Night Magic sucked major donkey balls last night. My brother, my friend, and I traveled 30 minutes to a different game store, where I end up getting paired against my brother and his B/g deck. After 2 fun games, I choke on mana in Game 3 to lose the match to him. In round 2 I get the BYE. In Round 3 I get paired against my friend and his U/W/R deck. After 2 fun games, I choke on mana in Game 3 to lose the match to him.
Before Round 4 starts, the store owner announces that Top 8 is already locked up, the remaining match doesn't matter (I'm assuming that all the people 'drew in.'), and that top 8 was going to begin playing for the prize(s).
Some kid walks up to me and says," I know our match doesn't matter, but do you still want to play? I'm on R/W Burn!"
I should've played him, but I didn'
t. I was tilted because I came all the way out here to face to new people and different decks, and all I ended up facing is my brother, my friend, and a chance to play against the Burn mirror (which, after FNM, I'm sick of playing against).
But all was not lost! I did find a shiny Boros Charm, which made the whole trip worthwhile.

Anyways, moving forward, I'm now a huge fan of Eidolon. He's interesting in that even when he's irrelevant as a creature on the board, he's still impacting the boardstate. There's times where it's correct to side him out and times when to put him back in, all during the same match. I'm sad to not use Ash Zealot, but where Ash Zealot is outclassed early on more and more often, the Eidolon demands respect at all points in the game, both by you and your opponent.

In a pinch, Khaos' beard can help turn this around.

So who else in the YP$ camp? EoGR just wasnt that great for me and YP has always been an awesome card for me in other decks.
Also, kinda up in the air with Mana Confluence vs Boros GG.
As MJ said in his video, there is not much action on turn 1 and 3, making it easy to play them. Life from Mana conf can def add up quick against aggro or mirror.

In 10 rounds of states I never had to play the Mana Confluence earlier than 3. Even when it was in my opener. YP$ forces you to SB into trying to play a grindier game, which is not where I want to be against BG Devo and Junk Control (sfd is SIGNIFICANTLY better in this matchup).
MJ piloted the deck terribly in every round of that video.

I've been on the YP$ and GG camp since the beginning, YP$ works better in a boarder more fleshed out meta game compared with Revel which is very effective at striking a very particular meta (Control and Mirror - Young is better vs Black and everything else including jund and junk (though it does require some long term planning to see why)), I think the only reason why you'll want Revel MD is for theSo who else in the YP$ camp? EoGR just wasnt that great for me and YP has always been an awesome card for me in other decks.

Dancers in the SB which are better for the non-removal heavy MUs like Gx Devo, Dredge, Ux Devo, B aggro and W aggro (vs jund or junk using two burn on someones face only to have your dancer removed is VERY painful (esp. if that burn could of been pointed at the creature), thus I prefer Reprisal, MM or Fated Conflagration in those MUs).

Revel is better if you don't want to interact.
I'll be attending a 5K this weekend with YP$ in the main. Having spoken with MJ about YP$ vs. Eidolon, I would prefer to play the version that most leverages play skill edge over my opponents.

I've watched your stream, don't throw stones in glass houses.
