Well you know moving is never simple. You gotta figure out where to put the couch, find all the outlets, stuff like that.every day, a new and interesting development occurs that somehow adds work to moving into this new apartment because why would any of this very straightforward process actually follow that single straight path

No, no, that's what I meant as well, sorry that wasn't very clear. Are you kidding? That makes it funnier.Okay, this one is genuinely funny, although it might not be if it weren't for the hand-grip positions.
Poor TubeHunter, if we keep posting this image the other people around him
are going to think he's a brony. Sorry man.

have you ever had your money returned to you despite there being no chance for your payment of "bouncing" due to some arbitrary reason and three days before you're supposed to move after having to spend an hour getting that money in order because of another arbitrary distinctionShit. my roommate tried to use a personal check to cover his part of the rent and although it is often the case that personal checks cannot be used to pay for things like rent, no one laid out for us that this was the case. we had to go to the bank, get him a money order, bring it back, and presumably we were done.
today because the money order was from him instead of me, who is the sole name on the lease, it's being returned so we can put in another money order that has my name on it because for reasons.

At one point, I had a bank tell me that I had to have a photo id to deposit a check, that was in my name, into an account, that was in my name. Since my ID was expired, they made me update it. I had no car and the DMV was five miles away. I procrastinated and decided to just use my ATM card. Then their fucking ATM ate it. I tried to order a new one, but they told me that, since I had just update the address (which those fucks made me do), that the ATM card would have to go to the bank...and that I could pick it up with a photo ID.
I had three dollars. I cobbled together the money for a photo id, and went and got it. Without even having a picture on it (temp id), the bank gave me a cashier's check for the full value of my account, after I told them that I wanted to close my account. (They actually gave me the check without an ID at all, or any identity verification whatsoever.) When I told them that I wanted to close my
account, they asked why. I told them the whole story, and in the space on the paper, they wrote, "Because we asked for ID to cash a check." Then I flipped my chips.
I started yelling until the manager came. They ignored me, gave me my cashier's check, and told me to leave and never come back.
I went to the nearest grocery store, across the street. I asked them to cash my cashier's check. They told me, "We don't cash personal checks." I pointed out that it was a CASHIER'S CHECK. It's drawn on a bank, not on my account. Unless the bank closed in the next two days, it would be fine. They refused. Growing increasingly irate, I went to the next store in the strip mall, and the process was repeated, in its totality. I was fixing to tip a goddamn building over.
Finally, I went to a bank, and they understood the concept of a cashier's check and they let me deposit it and open an account.
So. Yeah. I have had problems like that,
Thrillo.
