Pedros!
Starting the 4 color token monstrosity brews.
[deck]4 Soldier of the Pantheon
1 Herald of Anafenza
4 Raise the Alarm
1 Tymaret, the Murder King
3 Brimaz
4 Goblin Rabblemaster
2 Purphors, God of the Forge
3 Butcher of the Horde
2 Mardu Ascendancy
1 Abzan Ascendancy
1 Spear of Heliod
2 Suspension Field
3 Mardu Charm
2 Sorin, Solemn Visitor
2 Ajani, Steadfast
1 Ajani, Mentor of Heros
2 Plains
1 Mountain
1 Swamp
1 Forest
3 Battlefield Forge
3 Caves of Koilois
1 Temple of Malice
3 Nomads Outpost
3 Mana Confluence
2 Windswept Heath
2 Bloodstained Mire
2 Wooded Foothills[/deck]
Mana base is fine, not great. You get to cast all your non green spells on time and (mostly)on curve.
Is the Splash worth it? Mistcutter hydra and Xenagos are good cards that are absent and probably deserve inclusion in the 75. On top of that there's half a set remaining to be spoiled, so I'm optimistic.

You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.
Beatdown is hard, though.

Bloodstained Hero can't block.
Raid: [mana]1B[/mana]: Return a Bloodstained Hero from your graveyard to the battlefield. Activate this ability only if you attacked with a creature this turn.
The translation is unconfirmed, but I wonder if a copy has to be on the field for the Raid to work, or you can bring it back from the graveyard even if you don't have a copy on the battlefield.

That's correct. I think card is good, not ZOMG BUSTED though.
I mean, I'll definitely play it, but I'm assuming it's not as good as Soldier of the Pantheon. It DOES combo nicely with purphoros.

We're going to have to disagree here. I don't know if you've ever played with Bloodghast, but this card is almost as good as that, and Bloodghast is REALLY good. That's correct. I think card is good, not ZOMG BUSTED though.

Card is nowhere near as good as bloodghast. Ghast had situational haste and was recurable by simply playing magic.
This card is a solid one-drop that requires actual mana spent to recur. It's still good, but it's not busted.
Having to attack is also a mostly marginal but real cost in addition to the fact that you have to recur on your turn and not instant speed like ghast with fetches.

My brew time would start when all cards are spoiled. I really like this set as I love 4 color decks.Pedros!

I think core color would be white. Red probably splash only for rabblemaster/purphoros/ascendancy/charm. Cant discard blue (charms are awsome, along with potential negates and epharas) and green (charms, ascendancy, xenagos). I will have to work hard on manabases - I think I will use those tri-lands a lot.
And Soldier of the Pantheon is going to be huge.

not really a fan of enchantment creatures in a format where End Hostilities will be the go-to sweeper.Jsilv drops a sweet article today. Mono Black aggro looks really appealing.

Well, of course we'll have to see how it all plays out but I wouldn't be at all surprised if Marauder was actually much weaker in the new format. Remember, we're getting 3 full clans whose creatures will have B in their mana costs (Mardu, Abzan, Sultai). That could mean a lot less intimidate goodness.Agreed there. But I think mogis marauder will be pretty awesome in the format. Also, the bloodsoaked warrior has some great syngergy with the Butcher.

Something tells me I am not going to like this Standard much more than the last. I hate battlecruiser Magic.

I don't think they will be lower than $15 for awhile. I'd be confident in buying if I needed them.

Spiteful Returned, Agent of The Fates, Ruthless Ripper, ...Black/X agro looks quite good.
Question if it can handle Caryatid and X/4 for 3 and X/5 for 4. Imediate answer -> not really currently. Cant see any 2 mana removal spell that does it, or any combat tricks similar to makka. Best answer? Fly over or go wide.
I don't know but splashing white might not be that bad of an idea considering we get Athreos, the new Sorin, Utter End and Suspension Field (maybe Banishing Light too) as excellent additions to the list.
Man, if only they had reprinted Xathrid Necromancer...

some mono black aggro decks have played Boon of Erebos.
This set will also provide Murderous Cut and Crackling Doom to help black/Mardu get through fatty blockers.

WOTC playing with my emotions. RUG was looking awesome, then I liked Jeskai, and now Mardu looks pretty enticing.

I want to play something that has Rabblemaster because army in a can. And the Butcher looks like a solid magic card with decent synergy with Rabblemaster. And now the black one-drop looks solid as well and ALSO has synergy with the Butcher. So I'm all-in on Mardu.

If you plan to play multicolour, yes. If you want to force mono colour, no. Or you could force mono at the beginning of the season and punish people who don't have their decks worked out to collect prize moneySweet brag but would you buy them at $15?Picked them up with FNM prize money at $8 when Khans was announced.Dont have a single Mana Confluence. Would you buy them for 15$ each?
and buy confluences.
